Would you recommend going down half a size for a narrow foot type like a fit you would get in the mercurials just wanted to know before I purchase them

The fittings is different for phantom and mercurials tho, if you want a tighter fit, try half size down perhaps

Yeah they are durable! I think that was just a one off, usually the GT2 are very durable boots with a good lockdown.
