I just got one of those little tractors with a mower and a bunch of other attachments. Totally agree with you on the electric being way over hyped.

I owned a '48 G for a couple of years. Bought it as a bare tractor, later finding the hand lift, then the plow. Enjoyed it, but sold it as life changed & I slowed down on the tractor collecting habit!

I’ve owned 3 AC-Gs and used them for seeding and cultivating vegetable crops. Even after all these years, I continue to be amazed at the thought put into this design all those years ago. It’s obvious that the engineers understood farming! My favorite, however, is the one that was converted to Kubota diesel power. Twice the power and half the fuel use - awesome!
Tractor Tim - I’m sorry you have such a negative take on the EV conversions. If I’d had the money I would’ve swapped one of my gas Gs years ago. 1- no breathing fumes 2 - quiet 3 - no idling while adjusting cultivators or seeders 4 - all the torque from zero mph 5 - creep as slowly as you need with no reduction in power.
So many things about electric are perfect for tractors. Hope you at least open your mind to the concept.

Don't quote me on it...but I THINK Tuff Built still makes an Allis G look a like tractor with the kubota diesel as an option.

Sorry...I stated the wrong company. TILMOR uses a kubota diesel in their G look a like.

@@lilredwagon5311 I’m familiar with the Tilmor and even went to a demo day. I really like the company a lot, but their tractor is certainly not a G look-alike and it costs 6X what you’d pay for a good AC-G!

@@bryandickerson5365 just going off their YT vids that they said they had inspiration for their tractor from the AC-G. But I do agree with ya that the thing is really really expensive!

Oh yeah, it’s definitely inspired by the G, but the Tilmor is considerably bigger and more complex. I like that the G is simpler and closer to the crop. I can’t tell you how many hundreds of hours I’ve spent holding my breath as I stare through those frame rails trying to cultivate 3 rows of veggies as closely as possible!

I love these little garden tractors, and the G is my favorite. Thanks, gents.

I farmed 8 acres of cotton and 2 acres of corn plus a 2-acre garden, they were a bit more than a little garden tractor.

Beautiful Model G... There was a nice one on Machinery Pete's website but somebody already snagged it up.. Had a 60" belly mower installed and I believe a one bottom plow..

The horizontal bar in front of the pedals is the foot rest.

I keep trying to think how to justify one of these for my 3/4 acre residential property 🤣. Guess my little Wheel Horse will have to do but I do love that Allis Chalmers G.

I bought one for my 1/2 acre Vermont property, most of it is a massive hill. I just bought it cause I love tractors.

@@megaaggron9778 kind of keeping my eye on a G on FB marketplace but I think even one of these tractors would be too big for a 1.3 acre lot...

Look up Tuff Built tractors, Tilmor tractors or even look up the Oggun/oggun 2 tractors. Kind of expensive...
