Aloha Cari. The bread looks delicious! Mahalo for showing us your first time making bread. I would love to see more of these videos.
Wow, congrats to your first loaf! Turned out beautifully too, oh, I can smell it from California!👍🏼👍🏼 I forgot I have the kindle version of her book. I should revisit and make yeast breads. I love how you had other family members taste the bread. So much love and support you got. Cheers to more bread baking!
Thank you! I'm really enjoying her book so far! I love how technical and informative it is. I feel like I've learned so much even though I only have 3 baked breads under my belt. haha
Hi Cari, Thank you for the vlog! Congratulations on your first loaf of bread! It looked beautiful and the crust sounded perfect! I've been baking breads, bagels, pizza dough, etc and have really enjoyed the outcomes. Looking forward to you being creative with adding different ingredients and making different types of bread. Enjoy the journey!
Thank you! So far I've baked 3 breads which all came out pretty good! I can't wait to dive into more recipes!
Congratulations 🎉next time instead of mixing the ingredients together with your hands, just use a wooden spoon handle side mixing until everything comes together then let it rest, always cover dough when resting…TH-cam has easy no-knead easy bread recipes ❤
Ahhh I didn't realize I'm supposed to cover the dough after mixing it together. lol.
I recently started bread making from a TH-cam channel, artisanbreadwithstev. Really, no knead and so easy. Use the wooden handle of the cooking spoon. Try it! I really enjoy your vlogs of your family. Thank you for sharing!😊
Thank you for sharing! and thank you for the tip! I tried it with my last loaf of bread and it worked!
Mix dough with a Danish whisk. When kneading your dough, lightly oil your hands.
Thank you! I will look into that! And thanks for the oil tip! Good idea. haha
You should have used the handle of a round wooden spoon or get a ductch dough mixer
aloha cari, i love your bread, hope you can make those indian fry bread, they got simple versions...thank you love that bread, i gotta have patience in time consuming dishes...LOL..aloha marty (kaneohe side).
You make me want to go and buy a scale and make bread. Did you try doing a conversion of grams to cups.
Loved the video
Thumbs up
I haven't done the conversion.... but I definitely can and will add into my next bread recipe! It's worth it if you have the time to learn how!
🤩🤩🤩
never works for me. I even knead the dough and still doesn't rise fully
@@veevee111 I tried buying new yeast & it still doesn't rise the full volume after baked, used luke warm water for the yeast too. I've done this for years, gave up, a few years later try again, and still missing sumpthin, used baking powder, self rising flour,
Hi Cari !
In the future, consider using rice-flour to dust your banneton.
Dough will not stick to rice-flour.
I'm a Hawaii expat, male, 80+ years old and started baking bread since the start of the pandemic.
Most of my knowledge in baking...is/was thru trial-and-error.
My latest accomplishment: Biscuits. 😋😋
Good tip! I'll get some rice four. And biscuits sound delicious!
