What sled should you buy? 9R or Boost? 155 or 165? 275 or 325?

Good advice that lines up with my experience. I have a 23 Khaos 155 9R 2.75 but I've had all the Pro vs Khaos and 155 vs 165 combinations. No turbo. PNW. One sled. 6'2" 200 lbs. Similar skills to you. Conventional wisdom is 165. Switched to the 155 and will not go back. There are just not enough deep days to need the big track and the 155 is so much more nimble. And get a Khaos instead of a Pro. When it's thin the Khaos turns itself, the Pro takes a lot of effort to get and hold an edge and I'm not a young stud. I prefer the Pro in deeper snow because of the lack of lift and it tracks on sidehill so well. But if you like technical riding, the 155 Khaos 9R is a great choice, especially if you are smaller than me. A 165 boost is a niche machine. If you live in revelstoke maybe, or if you can afford 2 sleds, but out here you'll be choosing your 155 most days. If I can I level up this year, I may go to the boost 155 next just to do it.

@@andyhampsten4252 Great comment, Andy. Thanks!! The Khaos is much easier to turn than the pro like you said.

Simplify pro makes skies stick on snow khaos is better for wheelies

I will take a 9R or 850 a thousand times over a Boost for an all-around sled in BC.

Really not much reason to get the 2.75 over the 3.25 unless you need to go over 55 on the trail. The 3.25 is so much more durable & just flat out works. I currently own a 9R 155 & have a riding friend that has a Boost 155. I like them both for different reasons. In the end I choose the 9R as that additional 30ish pounds of the Boost just wears on you over the course of the day. On deep deep days though nothing can touch a Boost.

@@WRCWRX similar reason why some choose a 300 over a 450 in the hard enduro world. Less power but lighter weight

@@JasonCaville I am a light build guy at 160lbs & 6 foot. I am in shape but still after riding a Boost all day the arm pump would really set in. Partly from holding on the bars to tight LOL.

    I have a 9r and a boost. I do love the 9r but I would rather ride my boost 1000%. Both 155.

That's funny. I heard the boost was more balanced and better for tight technical terrain. You're saying the opposite.

@@cpreit8862 The Boost is better for more open terrain. It’s still a weapon in tight technical terrain but the 9R is much easier to throw around and has better bottom end acceleration for building momentum.
