I usually work 10-12 hr days. My makeup lasts all day long, I don't need to touch up. The only thing I take with me is something for lips. I have one small pocket in my scrubs for a lip gloss that deposits some color. I usually have one universally flattering shade (for me) lipstick or gloss in my handbag. Nothing else - thank God!!

You're right! I have several mini bags inside my purse (one for my emerg. Meds, for makeup, etc). I can't live without them.

I always carry a tiny little box of pain med like tylenol aspirin etc and the gasx mint strips or something like that...any of you suffer with bloated tummy after a meal,they work wonders!

I'm a "bag in a bag" person. The only other small items I include in my little bag is the small sample dental floss the dentist gives you after a teeth cleaning and the small travel pack (12) plastic teeth picks (one end is pointed the other end has bristles). Clean smile after a good meal out. Loving your videos. Keep up the great work.
Heather, I just watched the first three episodes of Heather's closet! I'm addicted to everything you have to say. I can't tell you how I am on my way to being your number one fan! (not in a stocker way but in a loving I want to be Heather way!). Gurlllll you are amazing. P.S. I found Heather's closet on you iPod shows "Heather Dubrow's World" and Dr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig". All that you have plus lipbalm, eye drops, and a mini nail file. Loved this!
I always use a bag within a bag to stop the makeup from marking up the inside of my bag. I try to keep my makeup to a minimum bringing blush, eyeliner pencil, mascara and lip balm. I try to use primers to make my makeup last longer.
I keep hand sanitizer, Advil, a Benadryl and an Immodium in my makeup bag along with the essentials. A girl's got to be prepared for anything!!!
@heatherdubrow I've noticed in my 'make up bag' that it's better to keep those messy make up products like eyeliners, eyeshadows, foundations etc in a small or medium ziplock bag to keep the actual small make up bag from getting dirty in the inside too.
I keep nearly everything in my bag in little bags, make up, medical things eg paracetamol, antiseptic cream..Elastoplast, one for hairbrush, mini hairspray,hair band, I keep a tape measure in my medical bag.Lastly a small notebook/diary and a little pen! 😊 Xx 🇬🇧

Dear Heather, here is what I carry in my make-up bag, in addition to essential make-up: Colgate Wisp max fresh (look it up- so convenient!), mini lint roller, nail polish remover pads (very small and handy!), and a perfume sample size from Sephora (because a girl can always benefit from smelling good)...pick this mom of 4 as a winner please!!!!...and keep staying classy!

Yes, do your makeup on camera! It's called a Get Ready With Me video (GRWM) Also- I don't think I've ever used a lip liner. It's funny how people's essentials differ.

Thanks for the beauty. Tips re the make up bag. I learnt a few tips It’s true my make up bag is so much smaller than it used to be we really have to just take the essentials eg lipstick eyeliner are my two essentials to take with me after I have applied my makeup for the day you can always take extra makeup bag and leave it in the car just in case

I HAVE to have nail clippers, a nail file and Burt's Bees vitamin E and peppermint chapstick. Everything else will be packed according to purse size. Small purse means small makeup pouch.

I carry in my make up bag a sm bag of flushable cleansing cloths, my hydration lubricant eye drops, whole foods hand sanitizer, sm bottle of my favorite body cream for my hands, sm brush for blush, lip gloss, eye liner, sm sample perfume, eye brow pencil hair band, lip balm a sm hair brush and my mother's rosary. I have to add the concealer. Dying for a purse of yours ;)

I also do a bag inside my bag. In my bag I have mascara, liners (lip& eye), gloss, a mini floss, powder, a make up brush, and blush. I also have a travel size tylenol and a tampon. Heather your Gorgeous!!! Have you ever heard of Kjaer Weis makeup, its a high end line thats refillable. Maybe for your line you could make it refillable and offer a refillable purse size of EVERYTHING as well! This way we can try it all out and use it for our purse! Kjaer Weis is awesome but their packaging is really heavy because its metal so its not very purse friendly. Bamboo is beautiful, lightweight and sustainable just an fyi. Personally I tend to go with brands that offer trail/purse sizes this way I can sample it before committing to the more expensive regular size.
