    Cool video. Wish it would have worked. It's a second hand printer, but there's no obvious damage. Brand new ink. Unfortunately, during this pandemic, I need to print from home. So, I guess I'll have to get a new printer and ink. Any suggestions as to good brands? Have a brand new laptop and I'm on a budget (especially now).

    A million thank yous! I was about to take a sledge hammer to my printer. Then I watched your video and found a hair tie had fallen in the printer and was jamming the carriage. I must have looked a dozen times for pieces of paper jamming up the line. I even went as far to accuse the kid who sold me the new ink that he sold me the wrong size. I finally got a flash light, per your instructions in step two and saw a black hair tie all the way to one side. Removed the hair tie and now all systems go!
    You know that saying, "It's not the gun, but the idiot behind the trigger." Ugh, say hello to Mrs. Idiot.
    Anyway, so glad I watched this video. All I needed was a flash light and the problem was solved.

    My officejet 4500 stoppped printing. When I hit the print button, the paper goes in and comes out about 25% and it stops ( without printing). Then I have to pull the paper out. When I opened up the printer, I found a spring left hanging inside. I don't know where it goes. I have attached the spring for your reference. Please help guys!!!
