Hopefully, this will shed some light on the product and how to use it, and also help those who have already purchased it. Plus you get to make two pretty Christmas bracelets. Have fun!

    Dear Luisa: Alexandra of Lavender Mystic did a review of your coil buddy tool and I was convinced; I purchased the coil buddy and memory wires from your Etsy shop. I am watching and re-watching your coil buddy tutorials. I am eager to receive in the mail the coil buddy and to make memory wire bracelets on my own. Sincerely, Dalia

      Oh that is so nice of her! I’ll have to give her my thanks! And thank you so much for purchasing Coil Buddy! It’s a wonderful aide for making memory wire bracelet bead patterns. You’ll like the Magic Rods that come in the kit. They’re useful for so many other applications. Please watch the video I published today where I show how to use them. I have used them in many of my videos. 🙂🌺🌼🌸

    You are amazing to come up with a way to make patterns for memory wire, how you come up with these problem solving ideas is awesome. I have even laid out a pattern and I thought for sure it would work out, it didn't it wasn't even close! I'm studying this tutorial hard because I love these bracelets. So far I use memory wire for my little girl jewelry. Easy on and I can use large enough beads for no choking but I have yet to see a child destroy a memory wire bracelet. Thank you for your tutorials, I have discovered a whole new area of jewelry making from you! ❤️❤️

    Greetings Luisa, Hope you had a great Holiday Season and a ringing in of the New Year. I just wanted to tell you that, this was the most Candid and Concise Demonstration that I have ever seen. it was so educational, especially for the novice. I just ordered my Coil Buddy and cannot wait to use it. I did however want to ask 3 questions if you don't mind. One is where do you purchase your .8mm memory wire. Two what size mm do you use most for your bracelets (I usually use 60mm) and last but not least do you make chokers.... and if you do, will you be coming out with a Coil Buddy for that... sorry for all the questions... but the memory wire that I have tried to use for chokers, doesn't seem to want to carry the weight of a larger bead. thanks for all your help. Karen

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Karen! Thank you so much for purchasing the Coil Buddy! And thank you for watching my videos! I actually do have some memory wire (.8 mm) on hand but I only sell it privately to my Coil Buddy customers. I’ll include a pack of complimentary wire with your shipment tonight. If you need more in the future, just send me a message through Etsy. About the diameter…I use 60 mm which is the most common. Unfortunately I don’t sell memory wire for chokers but I think Beadalon does sell good quality wire. Definitely try and find either .8mm or 1 mm. Anything thinner than that will not hold the beads well. 🙂

  • @kimbain4368
    @kimbain4368 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Okay, that's weird that the last bit of that message disappeared in pieces. I was saying that your final bracelet is not a slap-in-the-face Christmas bracelet, but is rather an elegant bracelet in holiday colors. Very nice. Could you do a winter-themed bracelet -- like light blues, silver and white? I've got an idea ricocheting around in my head but I haven't been able to catch it and pin it down. Either a memory wire or a three-wrap on beading wire is what I'm thinking of (or trying to think of). I'm gradually emerging from The Blue Funk and have been buying beads (not hoarding, mind you, but building my stash -- while they have the same result, the intention is much easier to live with) in anticipation of the Just Do It For Pete's Sake fairy slapping me upside the head. I can tell she is getting nearer and nearer. I really hope she shows up before I go broke. Thanks so much for your inspiration. Take care.

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha OMG. When I read your previous message I was wondering why it ended the way it did! I figured you were probably having Happy Hour or something 😂. Yes, absolutely I will definitely think about a winter theme! I have a couple of ideas 😊🌸🌼🌺 Glad you’re finding inspiration 😊

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      What a brilliant suggestion! I’ve actually thought about trying something like that! I’ll give it a try but I think it would only work with beads that are the same size. 🙂

  • @kimbain4368
    @kimbain4368 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The bracelets on your intro are fabulous. Question: would rubber earring backs work in place of the bead stoppers on the Coil Buddy, should they wear out? Or will you be selling replacements? Still deciding if I need one. (My name is Kim and I'm a self-avowed tool junkie.) The final bracelet is lovely. Not a slap-in-the-face Tgratefully

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kim, you always bring a smile to my face! 😁 regular earring backs don’t work very well because the holes are too big and can’t keep the beads from sliding off. You can use them but you have to be careful. Perhaps using 2 or 3 at each end may work. 🙂🌼🌸🌺

    Luisa where did you purchase your project trays? I looked and looked and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for, I think they would be a great thing to have because there are times when I leave a project waiting for something I'm missing or I need an ok from the person I'm making the jewelry for. I could put it on a project tray and continue on making the next item.

    Hello! I just watched this whole video but was confused by the info about beads not being where they should be, slipping or sliding, etc…. I have ZERO experience, so would this be something I could figure out myself or is there another video I should watch? I really like these particular bracelets you are making and really want to know how . I love the coil.. what is your opinion for a total beginner ? I can order all of these things, but before doing so wanted to see what you think. Thank you !

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Memory wire bracelets are fantastic for beginners. My reference to lining up beads is for creating a focal pattern across multiple coils or rows of a memory wire bracelet where the beads form a cohesive relationship within the beads from adjoining coils. I don’t know if I’m explaining it well enough but here’s a playlist regarding the use of Coil Buddy. You should have a better understanding by the time you watch all of them 🙂 th-cam.com/play/PLdKTVGleLDbsyZf1XdVVs_aBtSWwC5twU.html&si=I8FZ0SK_GEaNcsQS

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nicole. Each row represents one coil of your memory wire. And yes, you have to select one of the vertical lines at the end which represent the diameter of your coil. The kit came with 60mm diameter coil. 🙂

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris, sorry I'm so late responding. I find looping under is better for me but a lot of people do it the other way. I would say do what's best for you. The main concern is that you don't want the wire to get bent out of shape 😊

    Want to ask, where did you get your bracelet wire from. I have a large wrist and I can’t find the right without ruining my memory wire I have and like you said they say gauge and diameter but they are all the same, well to me, lol.. can you please head be to the right direction. And I have to order your coil buddy. Thank you Sylvia

      Gosh… I used to carry it but I stopped due to problems with the overseas supplier. It’s not easy to find 20 gauge memory wire with a large diameter but here’s one I googled: smartpartscrafts.com/products/200-silver-tone-metal-memory-wire-loops-20-gauge-65mm-70mm-small-bracelet-about-2-5-8-diameter-wir0004

      Lol I just read my comment and I’m glad you understand it. It was bad.. it’s so hard to find bracelets that fit my wrist so I have to make them or not wear any.. this is my first time working with wire and still learning and I appreciate you getting back with me .. TY..

    Will the Buddy work with my 9” wrist?

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question. Unfortunately 65 mm is the largest circumference on the Coil Buddy Guide which is about 7.8 inches. Memory wire is usually between 55-65 cm. You might be better of with the 12 inch rods sold in sets of 5. 🙂

    Can you create a memory wire ring on this board

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rochell. The Coil Buddy only has guidelines for 55, 60, and 65mm diameters but you could definitely mark it for other diameters. Plus the rods can be used for anything including lining up patterns for smaller coils. I would start by determining the circumference if you run coil and then draw the length on a piece of paper or if you already have Coil Buddy, you can mark it with pencil, pen, or marker. 😊🌸🌼🌺

    With every video shown, we are told to watch the 'earlier' tutorial. How are we supposed to know which is which??

      Hi Sorry for the confusion. Back when I first launched the product it was still in the initial developmental stage and I was trying to research memory wire options. I felt I needed to update everyone on my findings through follow up videos. Anyway, I have created a playlist with all the Coil Buddy videos but here are the links for your viewing 😊:

      Thank you kindly for responding. I have actually watched a couple already, but probably out of sequence. I have finished the above video and am pleased. Thank you for explaining your process, too. I have gained knowledge and some insight into how I could go about choosing beads in the future. Even though I am not new to working with memory wire, the Coil Buddy will be so very helpful. I recently purchased oval blanks, which should be more comfortable. I look forward to learning more!!

      Mary, I buy a lot from Bead Box Bargains and other online stores but I’ve bought many from Gem Shows, especially the crystal rondelles. Sometimes I’ll throw leftover odd beads into bags that are of a specific color. So I have a bag of blue beads, a bag of red beads, etc. they’re generally filled with one-of beads or beads that I have few of but they’re ideal for using as focals. 😊🌺🌸🌼
