I actually hadn’t picked up on the Strike Mission names yet, this was a pleasant surprise!
Thanks! Can't wait to fight in the Temple of Pheobe.
Another possible connection between the wizards and the mursaat is the description that Saul D'Alessio gives of the city he found in the jungle when he was exiled from Kryta "a city of massive towers with alabaster and golden filigree reaching into the heavens"
Oh now there's a detail I hadn't caught before. Excellent. Definitely going to see if I can go catch that reference specifically cause that's huge.
Sounds like the orokin empire to me
Thanks for piecing it all together! I hope the wizards vault gives players a little more incentive to play other than the daily rewards, and maybe a little more guidance? Also, the Mursaat connections are very interesting. I am actually more excited after watching this. I need to know more.
Really glad I could peak your interest! Honestly WV sounds like a huge shakeup of login rewards with the ability to get things other than just Laurels, coins, and tomes of knowledge.
And here I thought I was up to date, clearly not xD Thanks for the summary, Great Video as Always
Glad I could help! :D
Great video man! Love all the details you've put together.
First time I watch your stream really nice contents and you have a special way to present it with a lot of details and knowledge bravo love it. I have a question since we dont have the old daily anymore how we gonna do to have laurels is there s still
another way to have them ?
Hey, thank you so much for the compliment!
Laurels come in 2 ways now:
Buy them in the Wizards Vault for Astral Acclaim (up to 150),
Or complete 6 out of 8 available weeklies for an additional 10 per week.
I hope to see you more in my comments and chats!
Really good work, liked the details !
Thank you!
Fantastic overview, m8!
Thanks a ton!
Great video! I am stoked for all of this. If folks got only a preview and got to fight Cerus, I’m hopeful that Cerus isn’t the BBEG of all of the sky island episodes. That’d be too big of a spoiler in my opinion. Especially with how frequently content will release going forward. There are so many different directions they could take this and I am so freakin stoked.
I'm super excited! Would also love to see that not be big bad
Great overview!
Thanks!
Gw2 hypeeeee ❤❤❤❤ over a decade of supreme gaming. Ty ty for the vid.
Ty ty for the comment!
If i remember correctly, the Mursaat found a way to slip into the mists, but simultaneously existing within Tyria. Similar to the way the Kryptis travel. Interesting.
I maybe getting the Xpac I have all the mounts but the sky scale, I simply got BURNED out in 2 weeks on a new toon from coming back over 1 year ago, I do love the look and feel of this game, I'm almost in PoT on my new toon but my god I don't want to get burned out so I just might get the base game for 25 bucks.
Honestly, I think it's worth! Skyscale will be easier here than in PoF and will get more abilities
Thank you for your vid bro!!!
I gotchu
When does Obscurity of the Secrets come out?
August 22
Tuesday!
Wait I'm confused how does it make sense that the bastion of the penitent is build by the humans and moved in by the mursaat when the human existed much later than the mursaat?
There was a long period of time when both the humans and the Mursaat were active. At some point during this shared period, the Wizards (who aren't human exclusive) built the Bastion and then eventually abandoned it. After that, the Mursaat moved in, it sounds like.
@@Astralegend22 ah ok, cause to my understanding. i had thought the humans only came to tyria closer to the end of the existents of the mursaat
@yoshiirol8557 the last Mursaat dies in Season 3, which is like 1330 AE. Humans have been around for a little over 2000 years according to lore, so there's lots of overlap between them and the mursaat.
Mursaat are much older, but we see and fight lots of them in gw1, which was about 250 years before gw2.
hmmmmm.........this is very.....obscure.
😏😏😏
I really doubt the gods would be involved in soto. If the wizards predate the mursats, who themselves predate humanity's arrival on tyria with the six, then the wizards would have no reason to be foĺlowers of the six (unless anet fucked up their timeline while writing soto)
Well, they may not predate the mursaat themselves. They simply built the Bastion of the Penitent at some point, then the mursaat moved in later. My guess is that the Wizards were started by Odran "the Wizard Lord" a few hundred years before gw1, plenty of time after the Mursaat were doing their thing, and after the gods had already left.
@@Astralegend22 but if the wizards were strong enough to defend tyria from all kinds of threats from the mists, and the bastion of the penitent was important to them, why would they let the mursaat move in?
@@yeti25934 It seems like it was abandoned long ago, but we don't yet know why
Doesn’t look holographic, it looks just like Ibli in weird lighting
I'm glad someone mentioned it xD
There's definitely smol beams of light coming from underneath it though
@@Astralegend22 they could make contact with other areas of the world since they are opening up, it’s always weird how the expansions work, this whole place always existed but no one knew about and now it crucial for some reason.
@INDAREVISH Well to be fair, if it's where PCgamer reported, it's pretty out of the way from what we know
I WANT to like this new expansion but I just can't. I'm just too loyal to Aurene and feel like the whole thing and everything subsequent to her story is just hollow and soulless... New skin aquision is the only good part i see lolol. If they make skyscales easier to get i'll flip my desk...We all had to grind for months to get that bastard and news shouldn't be able to just walk in and buy it easily and quickly. LOLOL
While I don't think we'll see Aurene in Soto, I'm sure she'll be back eventually, but she deserves a break 😅
Skyscales will be easier to grab (you get one in these maps instantly, but have a quest to unlock it everywhere), but I'm fairly certain that to get the upgraded abilities for it, you'll have to still complete the classic acquisition method and then train the PoF masteries.
If you've already done that, great! Better masteries for you, and you got your skyscale for up to years in advance. Everyone is gonna need them in these new maps, it seems.
so rip to alts acc ?? hahha
Sure seems that way!
Logging in daily will award 5 Astral acclaim, so they're not totally dead. We'll have to see how expensive the rewards are
2 years of developement just for them to give us the same maps we had before ? anet is becoming blizzard at this point , plus we don't get the new weapons until 3 or 6 months later ?? i love guild wars , but this is realy stupid , the moment i saw gyala delve maps release , i knew anet is doing in the wrong direction with this crap.
New weapons are approximately 6 months out, but these maps are certainly different. Skywatch has pieces of other maps, but in new and unique ways.
