I have recently relocated to the UK as a nurse and I am trying to land a support worker job ... I do not have NVQ etc do you need to have it? will I still get through with these roles ?? at least until I am able to complete the documentation and pass the OSCE.

If you are a Nurse yes but if you are not a nurse you need to do some care courses

In the new nhs site there is no area for supporting statement it has been replaced with essential and desirable qualifications. I am finding it difficult to fill the essential qualification area it said the character must be 5000 or less but its refusing to accept my own that is even up to 5000 characters i reduced it and still same thing.
