Music is such an amazing part of our lives. No matter how old the song might be it can take you back to a time and place that was near and dear to our hearts.
1998 the year I graduated from High School....I remember this track playing in the clubs I hung out in here in Baltimore in 1999 & 2000....great times awesome music....this is a certified Classic🔥
I first heard this song in a grocery store in 2000/2001; then, in 2015, a friend randomly played it on her phone in an iHop and I finally knew that the artist was Sonique. Sonique is awesome and sadly underrated & underappreciated. Thank you for the 🎙🎶🎧.
I grew up in the 90's, I was born in 1991, and there's something about remembering just the way America was, how entertainment was and just how good the vibes were back then, but thing is you'd never have known that then, it's only looking back now do we realize how good it was when life wasn't so hectic, we could be kids and walk the streets or ride your bike around with all your friends. Nowadays everyone is so antisocial and distant from each other and it just feels like everything is falling apart at the seams. The veil is lifting.
Look at the innovation and variety in pop music any decade from 1960. But the last 20 years have had no innovation and little variety. About once a year I play some of Lady Gaga's most famous songs to a musical friend. Five minutes later I ask him "sing the tune back to me" and he can't. Totally unmemorable. But I hear my nieces in their 20s listening to Depeche Mode songs from two decades before they were born. And I'm amazed at how many TV ads use music from Marc Bolan. So glad I lived those times.
Wow I remember this song and didn't realize it was this old. I remember how her voice and the music had this trance like effect. I really miss music like this.
I still remember the first time I heard this song. I was out with friends at a night club, this came on and I froze... I looked up at the speakers, I watched everyone dancing, the bass was amazing and I didn't want the song to end. I still get on kicks where I just loop this song and get lost in it. I don't know what it is about it...
@laura-leemacrae4639 Wow, that must've been pure extasy. I even get a kick listening to this by myself in my room. There is indeed something magical about this song. It hits the right spot in a way it has not been hit before. Older music has got that thing you cannot quite put your finger on but it's there. I very very rarely get this from the artists we got nowadays. Nothing wrong with them, I just don't get that pure bliss that makes your eyes watery and your body flow
I heard this song when I was a little girl. And I’ve never had it again until a few weeks ago. This song has been in my head for years. I just didn’t know what it meant to me or , I am so grateful for finding it on TH-cam This song means so much to me. Now I’m in my 30s and I still feel like I was a little girl yesterday, now learning about the world and Love .Thank you for sharing your talent with us Sonique .xoxoxo ❤
I've read editorials stating the 90's was the last great decade. We were not inundated and obsessed with technology and glued to our smartphones, tablets, social media, etc. I totally agree. If you grew up during the 90's you know what I mean. Grunge music was born. Electronica was huge. JNCO pants. Jeno. Underground rave scenes you only heard about word-of-mouth or by fliers.
Sorry, I must disagree. The 70s was the last great decade. The technology to do this song existed; the instrumental music ability would have precedence.
Her voice is life! I only ever heard this on the radio as a kid. It always entranced me. Never knew what she looked like untill now. Maaad stunning!!💖 ⭐💎💕
I’ve been watching this music video for over 10 years & I still come back to get a glimpse at Sonique’s spirit. On a good day I put this song on & pretend I’m her, I mimic her choreography & for those 4 minutes I’m transported somewhere else. I will always, always love Sonique. I’m completely inspired by her.

Time travel is possible.
I feel like the 90s we were not tripping on race and groups like we are today
80s and 90s music were so much better. A lot more experimental sounds and variety. More talented artists as well.
Well said.
Please show me how. I'd give anything to go back to 1998

It is really sharp. Makes me wonder what cameras were used
I Agree
Because you probably don't listen to a lot of non-radio/non-commercial music
Because we casually transitioned from the Information Age to the Misinformation Age
Its because then it was authentic. Now its fake.

Lyrics
You always make me smile, when I'm feeling down
You give me such a vibe, it's totally bonified, mm
It's not the way you walk and it ain't the way you talk
It ain't the job you got that keeps me satisfied
Your love it feels so good
And that's what takes me high
(Higher than I've been before)
Your love it keeps me alive
Thought I should let you know
That you're touching means so much
(When I'm alone at night)
It's you I'm always thinking of, ooh oh baby
Ooh I want you to understand, how I feel (yeah) deep inside
Uh huh, you make me feel, what I need to feel (yes)

@@Stierenkloot Yes, it's rave music, but it's also a wonderful love song.
memories ❤
Beautiful voice , great song.❤🙌👏
I was in Thailand in 1999 and I heard this song. I could never forget it. So fantastic and different.
I get you. It's like one has an instant addiction to a song. ❤
The 90’s, where glitter hairspray was the bomb lol

This was abit of a mystical song back in the days...
Música ícone do fim da década de 90. Um espetáculo!
I was there! Good times. Simpler times. Life was better.
Simpler times. I really miss it.
Smartphones and tablets were not popular in the 2000's either...
Sorry, I must disagree. The 70s was the last great decade. The technology to do this song existed; the instrumental music ability would have precedence.
Oh Yes, the atmosphere of the 90's, these films mmm, I love that time, and the coolest thing is that Millennials caught both the past and the future)))

This song reminds me of my home Lebanon ❤ god bless you. You take so much pain all over the years and ages , ❤️🇱🇧
This musical composition is sheer genius. The chord progressions of the main chorus are incredibly stirring.
The videoclip is also genius. It's such a big pleasure to watch it❤

There's another video version of this a couple yrs after this, check it out💫
