Man, I honestly think this version is better than the Moon Dwellers one. Don't get me wrong, TMD's version is pretty rocking, but this one is just so.../imposing/, with J's soundboard. It feels a lot less 'a hot blooded fight against an equal enemy' and more 'a desperate struggle against a much stronger foe'.
Probably helps that there's such powerful association with this version where you hear it and immediately you are seeing half or more of your squad implode.
Finished Mission 20, today, and I got hooked on this theme as soon as I heard it. If Banpresto's even gonna bother continuing the OG series, they should totally include the J and D characters.
Excluding the puzzles, there are about 52 missions on a given playthrough with some missions exclusive to who you picked for the MC and the various path splits. If you're interested in playing, I recommend the English patched version, if only so you can understand better what they're saying; the gameplay isn't any different.
Maybe late but I think it has to do with his ability stat since that's what determines the chance of things like orgone cloud/shield defense/counter cut activating either that is it seemed to always trigger more when he was low so like high Potential level
I think he gets Will faster than Al-Van (+2 per Templar? I definitely remember checking him and Al-Van before any of the two reached me and Ja-Mu had more Will), at least so he gets to 130 faster and thus more chances to proc overall
I loved hearing this so much in the endgame that when I started NG+, I put it right on Boss Borot. So awesome. ...What? I didn't unlock the Vorlent yet.
This music is great, but I've come to dread it in J. Every time I hear it, the Fury always wipe out almost all my units and I'm left with no money after the stage...
That's why you sometimes need to let yourself get wiped out, keep all the money for upgrades on a retry, then play the mission again a little bit stronger and hopefully keep more money.
@Xemposacez I Agree D was already in OG Gaiden So Im Hopeing that J will be in OG 3 also I want he Astargant in OG 3 too! By the way This is one of the best Boss Music out there when you here this your like "Oh Shit!!" lol and damn when you 1st fight these guys they are HARD!
@Brashgar i know, it's still solid i figure a mass of that size no matter what it's made of must have some weight just from sheer size oh well, more fun for me when i finnally get raftclanz myself, Sanger and Wodan can suck it then!
@dvv1993402 seriously, is he compensating for something? he pulls out the biggest sword i've ever seen in my life and goes all Super saiyan Trunks on me with it scared the hell out of me until i saw it only did 2k damage, which was damn impressive but not NEARLY as bad as the animation made it look
Yeah, the new one messed the tension a bit much, it is not as intense and fast-paced as this. The start hanged a bit too much, just like you stay low for a few moment at the start of a sprint :D
