    I knew something bad was going to happen right there, people always try to shoot across going or coming from Wood Trace while vehicles are travelling at 55mph+ with no reason to stop! Seriously people you need to be patient and stop doing stupid crap like this! I was on my motorcycle yesterday and this guy does the same thing and laughs about it like it's funny, I swear to God that twisted truck was almost me!

    Building construction for the Fire dept in Lillington, NC. On the pegboard was an article about five FFs that were electrocuted by downed powerlines at a wreck. The same with raising the flood lights on the rig. Stay safe young men and women in uniform...

      In the initial overhead picture of the scene the Toyota was emerging from the road on the right and the two Fords were travelling upward on the picture on the major road running top to bottom. The Toyota got hit in the driver's side by both Fords and, presumably because they were steering to the right to try to avoid the Toyota, that pushed it off the road and into the power pole. Maybe if the Fords hadn't been pulling trailers they might have been able to avoid the Toyota, but that looks like a fast section of road so probably not as average human recognition and reaction time is just not quick enough. I doubt the driver of the Toyota survived the initial impact with the first truck to hit it having a bull bar...

      He was pulling out of the Woodtrace neighborhood, took a right southbound to the 249 feeder. it's also a construction site, so the feeders have become main highway, as the toll road expands from Tomball to Magnolia. Pulling out of the Woodtrace onto the 249 feeder and it's quite dangerous. Cars are traveling many times 75-80 mph. The stop lights have been in place for a while, but don't function yet. There have been two fatalities there in 5 days.

    • @gosportjamie
      @gosportjamie 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fancypantsprincess Well, really whoever is responsible for the traffic lights needs to pull their finger out and get them working, or make the electric company sort their stuff out so that they can be made to work. From the amount of time it took to get the downed cables isolated it would rather seem that they already need to take a hard look at themselves...

      @@gosportjamie tx dot I'm sure has a play in the lights being operational as they do with building our roads which sometimes takes 6+ years to fully complete. I cant fathom why our transportation system cant be bothered to build a road correctly the first time so we dont have to do yearly repairs or resurfacing. Roads shouldnt have to be repaired yearly and should only take say 10 years for repairs to be nessissary IMO and honestly after reviewing how DOT works for/in other countries vs ours and how their roads are maintained makes me just that much more unhappy since the constant road work isnt needed like here.

    It just absolutely blows my mind how first responders, those that are actually there working scenes don't know what exactly happened until a thorough investigation is done which sometimes takes a few hours or days maybe even months to get all the information BUT it takes people who wasn't there nor do they live anywhere close know what happens after looking at a video or seeing the aftermath. If we just know without a shadow of a doubt the individual was not paying attention, on the phone or eating and that's why the accident occurred. If we are so good at knowing what happened....you need to apply for a job with these departments. How do we know there wasn't a medical condition???? Assuming makes the ass at a you and me both.

    • @gosportjamie
      @gosportjamie 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not an SUV, a pickup. But your point is well made, body on chassis/frame vehicles have little strength in the body to save weight for payload, so once the body is separated from the frame by the mounts being sheared it will just collapse, unlike a monocoque/unitary construction vehicle which is designed to fold up in a controlled way to deflect the crash energy from the occupants, something that is called programmed deformation...
