Thanks to DISCOPEARS ( discopears.devi... )for letting me get my hands on something else to use beside Sugarcube Corner! (if you've seen my Smile or Beep Beep videos, you'll understand) I bugged him a bit to get one of these buildings done. Here's the unnecessarily long as I wait for upload extra background info if you care to know more about this video and its makings.
This entire project turned into a giant learning experience in both SFM and After Effects.

I was listening to a few video game sound tracks and came across a song from Final Fantasy XIII-2. I thought this sort of sounded like Twilight and figured I could make a simple video of her singing. After thinking about it, I decided I want her to be in focus at all times, and always see her face when she is singing.
So the entire video is one, long shot. No camera cuts, and no 'blades' in SFM itself. That last part was honestly a mistake that I'll be sure to never do again. SFM became so slow to render anything, even when hiding objects and lights disabled, it made working with the program rather infuriating. I'm using that as my excuse for not wanting to continue polishing this to look better.

Too much stuff is not good. That wasn't even all of it in the end.
Anyways, I got the main concept down, then I had to figure out why she was singing about memories, or who she was singing about. I Figured I'll just throw in a few random clips of her with spike at different points in time. THEN that led me to think of the 'evolving' scene or whatever you would want to call it. The background changing as the camera revolves around Twilight...
I honestly didn't plan for any of it. I just made one 'set' to the next for whatever looked good enough. So I don't really know the story with the forest, or the wheat field or whatever. It just looked fancy is all.
After everything is SFM was done, I had to render about 4 different times, each time with various things changed in each one. This would all come together in After Effects. (I might make a sort of short Behind the Scenes video to better show that stuff)
Without going into as much detail here, I'll say that I learned a whole lot more about using AE for this one project than I ever have in the time I've had the program. (6+ years, simple projects, nothing super fancy)
