370 was used by Abdullahs and Mufti to loot J and K,What was done for the purpose of integration by Pandit Nehru was used to loot that certain provisions of article 370 were watered down during Nehru rule and that continued. But Congress used the 370 and did not do away with 370 as it thought it will end up its Muslim vote bank which faced pressure from other parties. In the process a watered down 370 continued to exsist and Modi just confined 370 to history. There is a greater problem in J&K. The Kashmir Pundits living in exile in other parts of India. These people are suffering in refugee camps and they want to be in their ancestral lands. But Article 370 etc has not provided the Pundits with the confidence and security for them to settle in J&K. With Article 370 the Muslims in J&K feel they have the right to advocate the idea of Darul Islam by chasing away the native Hindus and preventing other nonMuslims from entering J&K to do business and buy land. This extreme idea of Darul Islam was the result of Congress's negligence in controlling the situation J&K. And here we have P Chidambaram talking rubbish by neglecting the core issues.

He could perhaps have asked the sanctimonious Mr. Chidambaram, who was it that 'chipped away' at autonomy over the last 70 years? He could have also asked about the alienation of Kashmiri pandits. When Mr. Chidambaram pointedly did not mention Jawaharlal Nehru in relation to 370, could he have not have asked about Nehru's role in it? These are things that come quickly to my mind as someone not intimately familiar with these issues. Has the law and order reality of Kashmir been normal for decades now that normal rules of governance apply? There is a greater problem in J&K. The Kashmir Pundits living in exile in other parts of India. These people are suffering in refugee camps and they want to be in their ancestral lands. But Article 370 etc has not provided the Pundits with the confidence and security for them to settle in J&K. With Article 370 the Muslims in J&K feel they have the right to advocate the idea of Darul Islam by chasing away the native Hindus and preventing other nonMuslims from entering J&K to do business and buy land. This extreme idea of Darul Islam was the result of Congress's negligence in controlling the situation J&K. And here we have P Chidambaram talking rubbish by neglecting the core issues.

I am not against government step for J&K. But prior notification should be given to the people of J&K and for the parliamentary. Well Mr PC, understand this, that majority Indian People want Kashmir to be fully a part of India (without any reservation of Art 370/35A), and by abrogating this article by ruling party, they have shown to people of India that India has the guts to take a step to integrate India (hopefully integrate the part occupied by Pak), which your party did not had, and that is why your party is in opposition and it will remain in opposition unless you change your mentality.

For India to be a true and mature democracy then our leaders should learn to sit and share ideas together for the betterment of the country. But what we see in the parliament is shouting,abusing, accusations and all sorts of negative arguments. Plz let the people understand your points on both sides of the divide. If our leaders learn to talk with each other and share their ideas of taking India forward then our people will also be united. Take devolpement to J & K (schools hospitals,,universities, industries etc) and you will get genuine peace and cooperation from the people, If Modi and the BJP leaders sit and talk with Soniaji, Rahul, Chidambaram, Manishanker Aiyer, Pawan Sharma and others at a round table after the parliamentary sessions then definitely we shall see unity and maturity amongst the people of India. After all the opposition has been in power for a very long time. and their points must also be considered. Mr. Sardesai's schema of Indian politics appeared to have put him at a disadvantage. He could perhaps have asked the sanctimonious Mr. Chidambaram, who was it that 'chipped away' at autonomy over the last 70 years? He could have also asked about the alienation of Kashmiri pandits. When Mr. Chidambaram pointedly did not mention Jawaharlal Nehru in relation to 370, could he have not have asked about Nehru's role in it? These are things that come quickly to my mind as someone not intimately familiar with these issues. Has the law and order reality of Kashmir been normal for decades now that normal rules of governance apply? While the government is trying to put out one fire, Mr. Chidambaram appears to be attempting to start new ones rather than work for social unity.

For all you guys who are criticizing this man - has Bjp removed the restrictions even after 3 months ? Have the locals accepted the abrogation of 370 ? Answer is NO. This is clearly reflected in the recent J&K block elections, where majority voted AGAINST Bjp, even in the Hindu majority regions.
