Pilote classics - I assume a slip of the tongue when you said 60s look as you've chosen a 1974 onwards colour, also the dashboard is the later post 1976 black dashboard/speedo surround. As the 1960s 2cv interior plastics were white & then a dark blue towards the late 60s early 70s, the seats are Raye Orange seats which typically wouldn't have been fitted in an Orange Tenere car until the late 70s - you got confused also when you called it Sunrise Orange as this is a made up combination of Rouge Vallelunga (Sunrise Red) & the Orange Tenere this car has been resprayed... Also there was never a dolly with Blue wings 🙄 only the 1986 limited run was midnight Blue body with Cream wings. This car looks nice but more attention could have been given to the actual era you were looking for as a 1974 car would have had round headlights on the earlier narrow headlamp bar & no upper door plastic mouldings. This car would have looked complete with door mouldings, square (rectangular headlights) & the rest of the period 70s look. If you wanted a 60s looking car I suggest you look up a 1963 AZAM & have a rethink... Also a 2cv6 Club badge may be a closer representation of this car as the basic "spécial" was never fitted with the larger more comprehensive dashboard/speedo this car now has!
Hi Joe, you certainly know your stuff! Apologies for the misinformation; Gary's description was based on what we were told by the previous owner. Sometimes with these restored classics the multiple editions can confuse all but the avid enthusiasts. We will ensure we fully research these classics to provide the most accurate details as we can. '89 so Club's out. Defo a former Dolly Chances are the binnacle and monospoke steering wheel are part of the resto-mod. Probably taken from a dead 2nd gen Charlie
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. Called "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbotsverordnung" in German.... :-/
on the one side, this 2cv looks too good to use. but on the other side, it sounds like "i want to roll" last week i drove with my 2cv to cologne, today, duisburg and cologne again.
Not a Dolly ! Probably never was ? Wrong instrument dials , Wrong steering wheel, no detachable rear parcel shelf, no stainless wheel centre caps, no bright-work trim along the sills either side. It suggests that this is., or was a 2V 6 'Club' ! With an after market 'hatch back' fitted :) Nice example though - looks super👍

It was previously a Dolly. It was restored to a different specification visually but on paper still registered as a Dolly.

I fitted the hatch conversion to mine remember it cost me £32 from the dealer and 1/2 a day to fit

Legal number plates would be a good addition.
The car will be supplied with legal number plates but for the purpose of the video the old ones just look cooler!
