You’re supposed to put new rings and a new piston in but you can chest by sanding the rings with fine sand paper and take the cylinder and use the 3 prong tool and a drill and oil and go back and fourth in the cylinder and get the shiny stuff off oil good and put back together with engine oil! If you don’t have a home! Use 12oo sand paper to scuff up the cylinder or it won’t seal properly!

You need a honing 3 prong fingers tool to cross cross the cylinder before you put it back together so it doesn’t smoke like a freight train! Before you put the piston and rings back in!
Usually with 2 stroke chain saw it’s almost 😅 always the carburetor needs rebuild!
