Ahhhh thank you 🙏. Amazing to hear from you - it’s called Summer Memories by Gavin Luke. I created a Spotify playlist with some of my favourite music I have used in the videos. It’s here if you want: open.spotify.com/playlist/1cMtINlJamU2wCi5pX5V2l?si=xKS5RQ0AR8yN-T2g9bVeRA
Oh wow Thankyou Ru, blessings to you, your mum and the rest of the family. Wonderful channel, you should do a collaboration video with Tom Pemberton Farm life. 🙏🏻⭐️😇🧿🌞👏🏻☸️💪🏻✨
Great podcast! Your Mum is of the generation that farming is a vocation, it is a part of you. It is a business as well but for most farmers I think it is a vocation. IT has to be for all the work required and little control over the prices you receive. Well done, Ru and Sarah!
Hey, it's the 30 something web developer turned farmer here! I appreciate the little read out at the start as well as the well wishes. From following your vlogs and others, through volunteering at farms to actually landing a job at How Now Dairy in the beautiful South Hams, Devon... I keep pinching myself that this is actually happening. The first few months have been brilliant. Another great episode though, looking forward to this weekends. I'll keep you updated. If anyone else is on the fence and looking to career change into farming, I'm always happy to chat.
So true about the whole eating in season. And your right the feeling of looking forward to something that is only in season for a short time, nothing better. But I guess our societies have just become spoiled and want all things all year round.
I left the practce of medicine at age 55 and became a farmer. Thirteen years and ive never looked back. Hey Ru, you dont need an umbrella, you need a broad brimmed Akubra hat 😉
Thank you! From my perspective (I am not a farmer but am related to many), farmers are undervalued and have been since ever it seems. YOU (verses vacation destinations, attractions, experiences, etc.) are the destination, attraction, the something to emulate and admire either in person or, now days, online!
That twitter clip... I feel guilty all the time, thag I don't spend more time with my grandchildren. I only hope they will remember days among the sheep, chickens and dogs and mucking around on the woodland ❤
Very interesting podcast I'm a part time beef and sheep farmer and I also work in a hospital full time and what the lady Sayed is true unfortunately a farm can take you over so easily and time can just run through your fingers like sand but it just happens it's actually scary 🤔
So wish we could exchange weather! Here in California, it is so hot and we're having huge wildfires. I've been praying for rain but maybe I should have been more specific! 😸
My daughter is in her second year of being a shepherd. She has a small flock of 6 ewes. We watch every episode of your show. We were wondering if mom could explain what she looks for in choosing a ram. Thank you for all the episodes and keep up the great work!
I'm with the Italians on synthetic food. For fleece check with the horse community a lot of people are using fleeces as mud control . And what do you think of hair sheep.
Cheers for asking my Q re wool prices Ru. I thought that would be the answer but, what a waste of a beautiful natural product to burn it! Ref the ‘heather’ lady - thank goodness for farmers like your mum and all the others who produce local foods for us and care for our countryside. But I can see what she means. However, how many other careers or vocations are just as all consuming? Paul WW Village
Great video again! How does your mum feel about "hair sheep" as opposed to wool sheep? Many in the US have turned to hair sheep partially due to the high shearing costs that outweigh wool value.
Another great podcast - keep them coming - brilliant content 👏🏻😀⭐️🐏. What's the music playing at the start 🌻

The holiday issue as a female farmer is an issue. I am married to a non farmer, so I totally get your mum. Fabulous video. Thank you x

😅 Akubra hat - looking that up now! Maybe it’ll help me stop messing with my hair too!
