I don't know if you will see this comment Aurikatarina, but i wanted to thank you and let you know that watching your videos have been so encouraging. I have a friend who has had a lot of severe health issues recently, and because of depression and trauma the past several years has been living very much like the people in your videos, with trash piled up higher than the couch. Last week, i took some time off from work, and my partner and i helped our friend to clean the apartment. It's not perfect, but it's safe now, and there's no more rotten food or fruit flies. We got a professional quote to have the cleaning done and they wanted over $7000 USD to do it. We couldn't afford that, but watching your videos and seeing how positive and cheerful you are, made me believe that we could handle the job ourselves. I was actually excited and looking forward to getting started on the cleaning, as the date approached! It took us several days, but it's manageable now. Thank you so much for sharing your cleaning videos- i just wanted you to know that you are helping not just the people whose homes you clean, but also other people who you've never even met. 💜

Depression is a beast, I was used to having a not so different house when I was younger. It's hard to explain: you get lazy, then you start to not care for little things, then you get used to your carelessness, and you slowly don't care for bigger things. In few months you live like an animal without even realizing, but you feel too weak for fixing the problem. Today I'm still a guy who struggles with depression but everytime I see that my house is slowly becoming a mess I react immediately and i feel very satisfied soon after: you can fight it, take the right actions at the right time, no excuses.
I get a little teary eyed when I think about how much this means to people. This is everything. Giving someone their life back. You’re incredible for all the help you do. ❤️congrats on your engagement!

I use to clean homes thirty yrs ago and fumes can be harmful to your lungs 🫁. I have mild COPD but I also was long time smoker although I had quit 4 yrs before diagnosis. In that time period I was working with dad/Gpa in the wood shop. He restored furniture 🪑 and repaired, refinished. Those fumes didn’t help whatsoever. I think those did more harm, plus years of smoking. 🥴💝🥰

As a person who suffers from depression I can sympathise with the people you help. It’s easy for people to be judgemental when they have no experience of hitting rock bottom, but then there is you! I am amazed at the good work you do and the difference you can make in a person’s life by something as fundamental as cleaning their home. It is a huge weight off one’s mind when their surroundings are clean and comfortable and the effort you make to help people is impressive to say the least. There should be more people like you in the world.

I wish we had floor drains here in the UK, it would make my life so much easier for cleaning. It's another example of how forward-thinking the Finns are. I laughed when I saw the empty boxes of Lapin Kulta among "the trashes". I was dating a Finn for a while and so I got to try some Lapin Kulta, which I found to be a very good beer.
The floor drains would be part of what we’d call a wetroom in the UK :) had one in my old flat, certainly made cleaning easy, but meant I only had a shower and no bath :(.

I love cleaning too! I grew up in a 5childrens messy home and never felt that I could clean it as a child. and now I'm grown and love to clean everything haha! it's like connecting with you with the love of cleaning, and before I used to feel weird about it and now I'm happy with my "gift"
