this is really cool, and insightful to a beginner like me seeing someone at a very high level practice a piece, albeit with a twist but cool nonetheless i’d love to see more of this
instant subscribe 1 week is crazyyy😭 One of my favorites to listen to and hopefully in like 10 years I'll be ok enough to able to trudge through it~😂 Awesome work, I am inspired to practice today😂😁
amazing and thankl you for doing it at this time, learning this for auditions but something a lot easier(just the 1st movement) and other short excerpts of different pieces in a little bit longer time, what did you use for your note taking?
@@samli8888 One last question! Did you or do you practice with metronome on these(concertos and other orchestral pieces) or do you maybe just use it sometimes for parts that don't include like the cadenza or do you just play along?
@@ShadowlazeMusic ask away, no worries! Yes I do metronome sometimes but not nearly as much as I should hahahahha. I think metronome work on some of the runs is really helpful to make the fingers feel the rhythm and produce a clearer sound. For some difficult syncopations and polyrhythms over orchestral parts, I definitely metronome those until I can feel the rhythm properly as well.
Thank you! I front-loaded a lot of the work. Ended up being around 3 hours for the first three days, maybe around 2 hours and bit for the fourth and fifth days and then like an hour for the sixth and seventh days. The last two days were way too hot to practise properly 😅😅
the fact that you did this in a week is insane 😭
this video needs more rec this is awesome
@@johelanidraws thank you!! Appreciate your support

Thanks for watching and best of luck for your auditions! I typically just use the Notability app on my iPad to take notes.

This was awesome, glad TH-cam recommended. Where did you study music?
Thank you very much! I studied music in Melbourne, Australia and am very lucky to have had some amazing teachers

ah yes, my favourite medical man playing insane viola music
you ALREADY know how it goes
Medical man? He's not a professional violinist?
@@h.p.734 he is medical man
@@kevinhuynh8752 :( I'm sorry, but the joke is just flying over my head. I don't suppose you mean he's a doctor and the violin is just a hobby?
@@h.p.734 I'm starting med school next year but have played violin pretty seriously for a pretty long time!
yo thats hella impressive how quickly you learned it
how long each day did you spend?

Where do you get your sheet music?
These guys go off: violinsheetmusic.org/
Otherwise IMSLP works fine most of the time as well!
I tried some passages are too hard 😂
