I have a 2014 Gibson LP Standard without Auto Tuners, and I also have a 2017 Gibson LP Standard HP with auto tuners. I must say, I found out it’s just a personal preference, because the Gforce system actually works great! Best thing to do, is try them out for yourself…
I had the dark fire which was different from the g force, they only turned one way and I was over it before rhe g force came out. It's about getting them fixed if they break. Forget it
@@zach1864 I think my biggest hatred from them stems from my experience w the dark fire and having it fixed. Check my video on it so you can understand my disdain
I have the 2015 SG Special with the zebra '61 pups. Mine still has the robo tuners. I got a titanium nut sent to me for free from Gibson. It's a really good playing and sounding guitar.
Me too. I bought mine new at the end of 2015 for £475. A big thankyou to all the haters out there. I do wonder how much natural tuning issues, such as old strings on guitars in stores, change in temperature or humidity from un-casing or unboxing a delivered guitar, got blamed on the gforce system. People actively looking for evidence of failure. Robot tuners have worked for me, although I may eventually experiment with swapping them out for lighter tuners to see how the balance of the guitar changes.
Seen a few people mention the brass nuts were soft and traded for steel but truth is they were titanium nuts and also gibson would send them out to you free. I have that seafoam green and honestly it is a great playing guitar and once you swap out the tuners alone the 20 dB toggle makes it chug massive
I was just talking to someone on fb about that today. Then I found it was part of a 250 ltd "spirit run." Not sure if that's all of the classics like that or just 250 seafoam. I will stand by and say i really have no problem w a brass nut. If yngwie isn't mad at it neither am I!
I've owned many Gibsons, including signature and Custom Shop models and not one of them could compare to the quality, practicality and the playability of my 2015. You're right, they don't have "BB" grade tops, they're all much higher. Your guitar's top is more figured than my R9! The so called "wider necks" are actually original '59 necks. Yup, the specifications are the same. The adjustable nut is a genius feature, especially if you shred and the wiring makes the guitar more versatile. I can get a strat sound and even an EMG style sound. The guitar not only tunes itself but also wraps and locks the strings too. It's hilarious how they still sell for less than a Gibson with acrylic inlays, lower grade wood and less features. In years to come, they'll be embraced as some of the best Les Paul's ever made. Just like the '59, which was also hated in the beginning
I agree with this completely Julie. Those 2015 classics have the super 57 in them which is the 4 wire tappable version of the 57 that's a little hotter than the 57+. Versatile and just amazing. Better tops. Real MOP and I'm with you on the nut! Some of the best les Paul's ever made and they were totally shunned. Are you sure about the 59 feature? My less + is definitely fatter of a fretboard than any of my real 59s. Merry Christmas and thanks so much for watching!!!
Those brass nuts were a fantastic idea… until they figured out that brass is a soft meal that bends/dents very easily. I had so many customers bringing their guitar back because of this and Gibson would send us a bunch of steel replacements.
To be honest it's one of the things I didn't mind about them. They sound good and still were better than some of the other shitty nuts. That said, another gibson cheap out
G force in my experience was garbage simply because it didn't work. I tried one in a store and the g or b string kept increasing in tuning until it neared breaking point. I do like the concept of being able to switch tuning mid performance with it with the push of a button
Yeah I don’t understand why people don’t like the coil options. I like the sound of a Les Paul but I need my guitars to be versatile so the coil tap is great on my 2018 standard. If you don’t like it don’t use it! Lol
Dude, I honestly can't remember if you have ever complained the Gibson guitars don't stay in tune. But chances are you have. Now, Gibson spent millions on R&D on a guitar that WILL stay on tune, and what do haters do? complain about it, like they always have.
The 2015's were the best bang-for-your-buck Gibson's ever made and only cork sniffing windbags and pretentious yuppie guitarists hate them. They all sported beautiful tops and gorgeous fingerboards and I love the G-Force system too. I also think the anniversary logo is cool. No one cried when Angus Young and Slash got their own logos, so I don't understand why so called fans of Les Paul had a nervous breakdown over Gibson commemorating him in a similar way.
Gibson owners, they need hot pickups, for all the distortion, to cover up the fact that none of the fuckers can play, I doubt any of them are ever in tune anyway.

Your guitar collection is insane dude! Love it bro! That is a sweet Les Paul.....love that color

How many guitars do you think he has?
Beautiful Les Paul, new sub, been looking for an Ocean Blue for a while, still going for pretty high $$

In an ideal world it's an awesome idea but for all of the reasons you mentioned and about 10k others I'd rather just turn the tuner myself 😃
Thanks man, I’ve been interested in robo tuners.
Just say no
Lol
That 2015 Les Paul is hot as fuck. The robot tuners were the only thing wrong with that thing. Gone now, so perfect.

I know Im pretty off topic but does anybody know of a good website to stream newly released series online ?
@Luca Hugh I use FlixZone. Just google for it :)
@Enoch Benicio Yup, I have been watching on FlixZone for months myself :)
