Wow. Great job on the highlights of this momentous auction coming up! Man, this will be interesting!!!
Hi Nowherebound! Appreciate the kind words. Yeah, it'll be exciting to see what these books go for. A once in a lifetime opportunity for even the biggest collectors.
This is going to be one exciting auction-I think history will definitely be made with a lot of these books-love that cover to Pep 34-a double syringe? So awesome
Thanks, Mazzler. Agree with some history being made. And, yeah, that Pep 34 is really sweeeet!
Another masterful video. I bow to you! 🎉
Thank you, brother. Had another video cued up but came across this auction. It was when I saw the Show 4 then the ASM 1, I knew I had to make a video! Hope all is well with you, Laurence.
Haha....I did hear that Laurence has a mean crane kick@@DanSchawbel
All of these are amazing. For me the Superman 1 is best of the lot. I know the other grades are higher, but this is such a special book in one of the highest existing grades. Great video as always my friend.
Thank you, my friends. Yeah, Supes is special. That copy in particular looks great!
Hi Keston , great video ! I’m really looking forward to seeing how these books perform ! Especially the Spidey 1 cgc 9.8 !
Thanks, Ken. Me too. ASM1 is one of my favorite books. I don't want to even venture a guess. It could anywhere from 500k to well over a million. We'll see!
A lot of my comic friends think $1.5 to 2 million...Heritage has lots of Dubai customers lol@@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842
@@DanSchawbel You might be right. So hard to tell. I just checked out GPA. A 9.6 sold or half a mil a few months ago. And, the Curator copy (assuming there is just one) sold as a 9.6 back in '16 for a quarter mil. Perhaps it was pressed and re-subbed? Given all these factors, I think that well over a million is reasonable :-). And, you are right about the Dubai customers. CGC is opening an office up there I believe...I'm sure that is NOT a coincidence.
Great vid Keston, haha exactly the right term, grades to drool over what whoppers.
Hi Cap! Yeah, I wasn't exaggerating much when talking about that Showcase 4. I just looked at it, and it didn't really compute for a few seconds. I couldn't believe the 9.6 was up for auction.
Yes indeed Keston , no doubt at all that is a special one.@@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842
Amazing books as always!
Thanks, brother. BTW: Just realized you put some videos up on your channel. I've checked out one. Great start. Will hope to check out some more soon. Keep it up!
All of these made my top sales lists. I would liked if you had guessed at their potential sale prices.
Thanks CCG. Yeah, those were some special book. I'll try venturing a guess next time :-)
What an insane array of books wow!!! Never seen an auction like this other then the John Berk on years ago which was incredible. Superman #1 7.0 aaah now we’re gonna see how bogus Goldin’s auction was on this copy. Great post again Keston your style is again impeccable
Thank you, Kryponite. Yeah, I was trying to think about the best auctions I had seen since I got back in the hobby (2012). The Berk auction (ComicConnect) and some of the Promise Collection auctions (Heritage) stood out. They were probably deeper overall than this one, but man those top 7. The Billy Wright Auction (Heritage) in 2012 was likely better. An Action 1 (3.0), a Tec '27 (6.5), a sweet All American 16 (8.0), Bat 1 (8.5), Marvel (7.5) and many others. Wish I had bought that Marvel 1, 7.5 then!
I wish I would of bought a Action 1 back in 1997 when I seen a copy for 50k aah the good ol days
I am excited to bid in the upcoming auction.
Me too, JC…on the books at a slightly lower tier :-)
Wow, it makes me so jealous looking at these books this is Bob in Connecticut. Well to purchase these I guess you have to hit lotto. I was just the bartender, but I was able to purchase a few pretty good books which I still have. I don’t work anymore.. I have a Superman 1 5.0 moderate professional restoration no trimming I paid 12,500 I have a Batman. 1 5.0 restored moderate with trimming I paid $10,500 amazing fantasy 15 6.0 no Marvel chipping presents much better. I paid $4000 tales of suspense 39 8.5 I paid $5300. Yes these are my top four
Bob! Good to hear from you, my friend. That's great. Helluva top four. And, people probably thought you were crazy, dropping 12.5k on a restored Supe 1 :-). You're looking pretty good these days :-)
The ASM1 9.8 WP Pedigree almost looks like a facsimile lol ;)
Hi, Dan! Yeah...the best of the best. The Curator pedigree is something else. Curator and Pacific Coast have some of the finest copies of the major silver-age grails.
Love these videos. Wish you had given your price predictions and gone through the entire auction. I'd much rather own the highest graded 1st Wonder Woman than anything else being offered. Love the Showcase 4 and the Batman 1, but WW > Flash and way, way older. And while Batman 1 is maybe the coolest book ever, not being the nicest copy in existence puts the 1st Wonder Woman ahead in my book.
Hi Steven! Thank you. Yeah, I will likely go back to my traditional format of previewing auctions but I was awestruck by this one...and went with that vibe. AS8 is a really sweet book. I had seen that exact book come up a couple times for auction (once on E-Bay and the other on Heritage) so it didn't strike me as much. If given a heads up choice between the two, I'm not sure what I would take...couldn't go wrong either way.
@@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842 I have a restored Batman 7.0. I’ll have to live with that! :)
Will you be a buyer in this upcoming auction Keston? Inquiring minds wanna know. :)
Perhaps. But...none of those seven books :-). Great hearing from you, Shane!
These will all go for crazy prices but won't go as high as they would have during covid. I think someone is going to take a loss on the AS 8. However, when someone says "I've found my grail" I think of these books, only to find out their "grail" is an ASM 300
Hi Kevn. Great to hear from you. Yeah, we'll see. The market at the top of the mountain sometimes behaves differently than the lower 99.9%. Curious to see what happens.
If you have $100 million...what's $2 million is what he's saying!@@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842
Which ones will you be bidding on, Keston? 🤑
Hi Derek! Perhaps all of them but with puny bids :-)
Well, I should comment again, that whoever is selling these books must be very desperate. You don’t sell books like this, unless you really have to.. on the other hand, you cannot take those to your grave
Hi Bob...yeah, I probably wouldn't part with them. But, if someone is heading to retirement and was saving these books to support retirement, selling them now is a great idea.
If you Love these Keston videos. Smash the 👍.
Thanks, brother!
