16:00 - I am just pitching this idea but when Tails saw the Chaos projection, it's possible he had a traumatic flashback to Sonic's 'demise'. His screaming for help was Tails wanting Sonic to wake up in the flashback. Yes he fought the real one in a stronger form, but that was before Sonic was "killed" right before his eyes. Unfortunately it is difficult to read this scene. The thought crossed my mind just recently. Easy fix for that scene is when Tails sees the projection, show images of Sonic's capture. Make it clear he is having a PTSD episode. Is there any sense in this idea?

In Tails' defence in the beatdown scene, what could he actually have done!? If Tails jumped in he would have been beat down and captured too. The only thing he could do was flee while thinking Sonic was killed before his eyes or thinking he was executed after leaving the fox traumatized.
