The faillure to intercept that Kh-38MT probably has to due not really due to a bug, but due to the server. In the particular example in the video, it works out quite well that if WT ran at a tickrate of 100Hz (at least for bullet/missile simulation), that the relative distance between both missiles per server update is larger than the proximity fuse sphere of the VT-1. Of course tickrate could also be even lower. So Gaijin would have to improve their servers. Now it could also have been your own ping, but that doesn't really apply here as no user input was really applied at the moment of intercept, so this was server limited is my guess.
You´r not the Only one with the missle problem I shot with 2S6 hellfire missles today but from 9 out of 10 rockets only one got destroyed. Sry im German bad english but I thnik everyone can understand
Yes it does, I tested it with a friend in custom battles, 2s6 vs Greek Apache, RWR is triggered by Radar\IRST\No Lock launches, Roland vs Greek Apache, RWR is triggered by all Radar\IRST\No Lock launches as well. It is the biggest nerf for SPAA in 2024 I believe.
Finally some1 that can actually use SPAA. I seen way many CCs fire the missile at 10km or closer and wonder why they cannot hit them. Prefiring is the way.
VT-1s need ACLOS mode, which works pretty much like fox-1 but launched from the ground, and is the primary way of every roland spaa. SACLOS mode is only a secondary mode used under heavy ECM conditions
Sim always great! Very good games. I usually switch to IRST straight afer spawn to not trigger their RWR so they dont know straight away that roland is operating. This encourages helis to fly higher, I switch to radar when I am about to lock and shoot.
ITO is better at one thing in my opinion, to intercept a train of Vikhr missiles which is not the META anymore. Smaller size also which is nice but worse mobility than FlaRakRad, no smoke grenades is a massive disadvantage relative to my standards because it is not really reliable to shoot down fast Kh-38\Kh-29 with missiles, VT1 proxy fuse will not even trigger in a lot of times, as shown in the video. FlaRakRad has 10 missiles total and ITO has 8 missiles total.
War thunder SAMs are fine,problem is: 1:War thunder server limitation problems 2:Ppl skill issues 3:RB controls are too easy for an aircraft to fly with absurd movements and with 3°PV makes it even easier
From the point of non-experienced player who is just getting to tank top tier, I have a question Why is FlaRakRad the best? I can see why it’s better than ADATS, but I’m not so sure about ItO-90. ItO has the same rockets, it can launch 8 of them without needing to reload, and also it has IRST and a good enough search radar. So why isn’t it considered better?
I'll list a few reasons. -Smoke grenades as defense -IRST that gives distance and has 15km range -Single-bar radar search pattern which is great against helis (ITO is 3-bar search) -Largest missile magazine (Even if it's 2 at a time)
Some people consider ITO is the best which is fine, it is up to preference I guess, I personally think FlaRakRad is better, one correctly timed smoke grenade can disrupt multiple TV missiles coming at you without the need to waste a single VT1 on them. ITO is good against a train of Vikhr missiles, but it is not the META anymore.
Hey Hunter. I played with you sometimes. I've been playing SIM mode only for 6 years. Top tier is not fun anymore. Plus, Adats is useless. Doesnt have smoke and lack of a good missile range.
Hello my friend, well done! 6 years is not a joke, I'm sure you are a great player. The most fun era in Ground Sim is the semi top tier one in my opinion, where 2s6, AH-1W, A-10, Mi-35 are the highest, the USSR side suffers from challening CAS jets though, relative to Roland and Stormer. The best they have are Su-25 and Su-22 with no thermal and no zoom at all.
Hey sorry if you have answered this before but when you are outside of the gunner scope you are able lock where you are looking do you select the target on the radar then lock or is there something else that you are doing
They should add the HFK/KV missile for the flakrak. It would give it a gigantic buff. The flak rak can also get the em upgrade which gives it 4 launchers in total.
I find it still funny that my gepard 1A2 can see stinger missiles on his radar and lock on 70mm mighty mouse/hydras but not drones yet, the stingers can lock under 2,5km and hit if the drone is atleast 700-800 meters away, else the stingers goes haywire.

I use the flak marder with roland 3 and the missile dmg is partly bugged such an large load of explosiv but an scout drone survive 2x head one hits and survived when even light tanks go boom. Flak marder has roland 3 missile an weaker version of vt-1.
It is worth it compared to FlakrakPZ, will make a video on it, however the video will be for the USSR SA-8, not the German one. They are the same though :)

No my friend, the main method is by search radar, (-) is enemy, (=) is friendly, here in 16:00 I was calling for it so my teammates know that an enemy plane exists at that particular direction and altitude, not to know if it was friendly or enemy. How I do know enemy or friendly by air call if the target was scout drone, because it doesn't show on radar, or very small on some radars.
don't spawn rush, that is just dumb. have a lineup to spawn it and then use the vikhr missiles. hide about 3-4km away behind a hill or mountain and shoot two vikhrs at a time on one target, memorise which ones have a laser warning system. if you see any enemy tank carrying spikes run, hide behind solid cover so the missiles lose sight of you. spikes are insanely good at killing helis as they can track a Heli easily, are fire and forget and don't activate MAW until it's too late
Hunter you need to try out the OSA AK, Personally i think its better then the Flakrakrad i would love to hear you opinion on it , even if its lower in BR but i think its not gonna stay for long on 10.3 maybe 11.3 at some point :D but as always great video

There is no point to turn OFF laser mid flight because the bomb will spot the laser at 4.5km only, so it is not that far, but anyway if you turned off laser after the bomb spotted the laser point it will continue to the last known location based on the last known parameters because of IOG.

The JF-17 is a good aircraft, just pray Pantsir S1 on your side :D If you really want to enjoy top tier look for 11.3 planes, and play them in 11.3 lineups in Ground RB. You will never see the spam of broken Fox 3s. Thanks a lot
Ngl, FlaRakRad is not the best NATO SPAA, crotale has better search radar with smaller dead zone above and it scans different sectors, it has smaller dead zone compared to FlaRakRad, though on the other hand it has smoke grenades which Crotale doesn’t have, which if we carefully use can result in better survivability, but ITO can launch all of its missiles almost instantly without having to wait 5 second to reload 2 missiles
It is up to preference I guess, I still pick the German truck. Crotale was the best when top down attacks and trains of Vikhr missiles was the meta, it is not anymore.
Adats in nice and very useful but the U.S. needs a dedicated AA at top tier. It is sad you still have to visually lock on a plane/heli at top-tier for the U.S.
It is controversial I guess, because Crotale has better radar and no need to reload, I still pick the German truck though, because of smoke grenades and 10 missiles.

@@ThunderHunter2019 Nice! keep it, test it in couple of battles and see the fps performance, with tank and with plane, also there are some exceptions, like stutters in Fulda air, Campania air, Japan air and Middle East ground. There is something wrong about them, Gaijin needs to optimize them.
This is still not good enough, Su-34 at 3km altitude fires it's Kh-38 at 15km distance, then evades by diving down and notching before reaching 10km distance - there is nothing you can do, on open map, when you run out of smoke.
It can sometimes, when the weather is clear I guess. But the suffer is you need to lock it from gunner sight, ADATS has no 3rd person view lock, on anything.
i played as f15 and shoot 3 maverick to flarakrad, and he tried to shot down one of it but somehow it doesnt work sometimes, idont understand the reason but when i shoot to pantsir it always shoots mavericks easily. Also , germany needs a ground attacker for the top tier. Tornado looks like shit at top tier and even f111-f has better armament and its rank 7.
Why do I feel like every video I am looking, the enemys are just pure dumb ??? I mean he is flying a tornado 8km away from pantsir and this dude is not even looking at him. When I spawn I get insta shot 14km away…
Simply because the Pantsir S1 was busy with another target, I try to play safe as much as possible, if I saw S1 is looking at me I wouldn't proceed, I would turn, dive and pull off, then try again from a different angle or higher distance, you get insta shot from 14km simply because you don't pull off, you just keep going forward because you are very brave :D

No problem my friend, I select the target on radar, "Select radar/irst target to lock on" button to switch between available contacts.

I know it is Mach 5 which is scarier compared to Mach 3.5 VT1, but what is the max range of HFK?

If the VT1 in this case were to directly impact the missile and not intercept, there is a problem.

how you deactivated the laser designator for Ljdam ? when drop them i have to deactivate it fast so the others don't track the latest laser point

IRST is not the same for all SPAAs. FlaRakRad has the best IRST mode.

Ngl, FlaRakRad is not the best NATO SPAA, crotale has better search radar with smaller dead zone above and it scans different sectors, it has smaller dead zone compared to FlaRakRad, though on the other hand it has smoke grenades which Crotale doesn’t have, which if we carefully use can result in better survivability, but ITO can launch all of its missiles almost instantly without having to wait 5 second to reload 2 missiles
It is up to preference I guess, I still pick the German truck. Crotale was the best when top down attacks and trains of Vikhr missiles was the meta, it is not anymore.

Adats in nice and very useful but the U.S. needs a dedicated AA at top tier. It is sad you still have to visually lock on a plane/heli at top-tier for the U.S.
Best Nato SPAA by Gaijin is ItO 90M cuz ItO doesnt have Smokes and 10x VT1 but still got up to 12.0 unlike FlaRakRad at 11.7 xD

SAM still can barely kill the CAS bc SAM can shoot down CAS missiles unless ADATS. also most CAS players dont even try to avoid SAM
Playing for Sweden, only way to fight those missiles is hide… in desert maps you’re 100% cooked. This is ridiculous

@Hunter_i86 it's called the za-hvm and has "umkhonto" missile, one with 12km range, upgraded missile has 20km range

The most important thing is GPU, you said RTX but which one of them? I hope 4060 or higher. You should be good, I use RTX 3080 and still excellent 👌

@@ThunderHunter2019 Nice! keep it, test it in couple of battles and see the fps performance, with tank and with plane, also there are some exceptions, like stutters in Fulda air, Campania air, Japan air and Middle East ground. There is something wrong about them, Gaijin needs to optimize them.

This is still not good enough, Su-34 at 3km altitude fires it's Kh-38 at 15km distance, then evades by diving down and notching before reaching 10km distance - there is nothing you can do, on open map, when you run out of smoke.
it's even worse.... Kh-29TE can track you through smoke, don't ask me how but it does.
With IRST lock if the enemy uses flares does the lock break?

It can sometimes, when the weather is clear I guess. But the suffer is you need to lock it from gunner sight, ADATS has no 3rd person view lock, on anything.

i played as f15 and shoot 3 maverick to flarakrad, and he tried to shot down one of it but somehow it doesnt work sometimes, idont understand the reason but when i shoot to pantsir it always shoots mavericks easily. Also , germany needs a ground attacker for the top tier. Tornado looks like shit at top tier and even f111-f has better armament and its rank 7.

Simply because the Pantsir S1 was busy with another target, I try to play safe as much as possible, if I saw S1 is looking at me I wouldn't proceed, I would turn, dive and pull off, then try again from a different angle or higher distance, you get insta shot from 14km simply because you don't pull off, you just keep going forward because you are very brave :D
@ and how do the JDAMS work ? I saw a video where he just looked at the Target and drop the bombs , how do that work and how far can u drop them
