I have to sing it for my high school choir. There is around 45 of us and only about three of the alto twos can even sing it properly

I can't believe this song was brought to the EGP. This song moves from Disney fairytale to the most prestigious choral competition in the world
This song actually predates Frozen by a wide margin. The group rearranged the melody for the Disney film to remove the references to "Deilig er jorden," a relatively noteworthy Christian hymn (English speakers may know the melody as either Saint Elizabeth or the Crusader's Hymn, the setting to "Beautiful savior" and "Fairest lord Jesus")

Disney modified it slightly because it contains "fairest lord jesus" in Norwegian. I guess they don't want religious themes too much :)

Ahh, I love this song. It's a great performance!
In the audio sample, you have a quiet impedance hum. But I didn't recognize it when the altos started to sing. It's nearly the same frequency. :-)

Most of the song doesn't have lyrics, however in the song there's another song called "Deilig er jorden" - a very traditional christmas song in Norway. It can't be translated directly but the vibe is kinda "beautiful is the earth". The translation of the part of the song here is " Beautiful is the earth, God's grace/sky is great, beautiful is the soul's pilgrim-song. Through the precious riches/kingdoms of the earth we go to paradice with song. The song itself is very beautiful so I would reccomend listening to that too!
