Thanks for all the love again yall!! This might’ve been my favorite track from Ren 👀❤️ production team is INCREDIBLE too!!

  • @stevedimakis7403

According to Ren’s twitch there is no lip syncing…Instead there are a tonne of mics rigged up on the camera and around the studio…REN then goes through and mixes the recording from across every mic that recorded the audio

Ren in the Knox Hill interview after Sick Boi dropped, said Yamaha let them loan the piano free. It's value is around £100,000. The other guy pianist is a classical pianist, Ren wrote all the piano, cello and violin parts. If it was one take or the production, ask Knox, he was there from start to finish, He was jokingly annoyed he didn't get a part in it, There was one cut, as the camera went around the back. They had to get Ren and the musicians in the correct position. They swapped the mike from the lapel to Ren's tie BTW Ren didn't lip sync, it was sung live the pianist had an ear piece link to Ren's mike, so hear Ren singing for the timing. But the audio was cleaned up in post production by Ren. 😊

One cut behind the chair because he only had one suit. The rain portion had to be done in one try.

  • @davidjames3080

Nah, sorry, had to turn off with his persistence of lip synching, it was annoying me too much. Having seen the BTS its obviously not lip synched.

  • @gwendlacarpenter7266

It's all live. See the BTS.

It’s live…he’s not lip syncing. They have a 2nd mic to pick up the sound better. You can see it in Wolf’s behind the scenes.

  • @MoreKellBellPlease

He's wrong, I've seen Sam interviews. But it doesn't matter. It's an amazing song no matter what. He's not lip syncing 😂

  • @GeminiPurPower

If you catch the KnoxHill review he shows a few minutes on the production set. he did a little video during filming. It was awesome seeing the camera and how they made the rain sequence. 😊 I love the reaction ❤

Andrew is so intelligent, BP you have some switched on friends and guests, but this guy is in another level….. and he seems like a nice person…. I’ll watch anything you guys do together

  • @ChrisLawton66

Not Mozart. That's Edvard Grieg that Ren is playing at the beginning.

I think Andy is so used to artists lip-syncing in what are supposedly live performances that he finds it hard to believe anyone is capable of doing a proper recording and do it exquisitely so! One thing I think people need to know about Ren is if he tags a video as a live performance, then it is indeed LIVE. It is really sad to see the amount of work that Ren and his team put into the production so unappreciated.

It's live.. 2 takes, one from the beginning until he sits on the chair, the when the camera goes around, they cut it so they can change the position of the mic (they put it in his tie) and cover it with water protection. Also it was made this way so the strings quartet could sit down safely. You hear those explosions on the "p's" because it is right underneath his mouth (on the tie).

Apart from “Hi Ren,” “Money Game Part 3” is, in my opinion, Ren’s best work to date, and the bar he previously set was already incredibly high. It is an amazing and thought-provoking piece of performance art. Ren played the intro on the piano. The guy who came up from behind and replaced Ren is Charlie Woof-Bryne, an accomplished classically trained UK pianist who also occasionally plays jazz and pop.

It’s really interesting how skeptic Andy is about the live aspect. It says a lot about both Ren’s abilities and his dedication to getting things just right. Anyway I agree about the video comparisons. There is something absolutely brilliant about seeing what Ren and Sam can achieve with more of a budget in this, but Hi Ren and the Tales are definitely more intimate in the rawness. It’s like Ren doesn’t need a big visual production to tell stories, but it is still cool to see his visions come to life like this. I guess I hope he continues to do both depending on the song 😊

  • @lisadavenport2390

he says it’s live with one cut in Wheelchair. He had two mikes Watch his Twitch from yesterday

Ren is definitely performing this live. You can watch his throat and breathing. Whether or not he's doing it in time to the recording and the recording is what you're hearing is another question. They could be interchanging as necessary. Love Andy's breakdowns.

In an interview sam said the mic on his lapel was for the pianist so he could hear vocal ques, other than that it was live recorded . The 45mm had a 9mm mag (due to uk laws so it can't fire) so ren had a guy pass him a 45 mm mag of camera so he could load a 45mm mag on cam then he was passed the 9 mm mag back off cam so he could snap it in the gun, they only had one shot at the rain scene as ren only had one suite and the floor wouldn't dry again for an hour or so to be able to retake right away

  • @Parula06

Per Sam P-F and Ren: $100k piano, kindly lent to them by Yamaha. Ren wrote all the piano and strings music. They used a very high end mic that looks like a flat button on his left lapel rather than a typical lav mic for the sound. It was actually all recorded live, no lipsyncing involved. The one cut in the entire piece takes place at the back of the wheel chair, to move the mic from his lapel to inside the knot of his tie and also to encase it in waterproofing prior to the "rain" section. That's the first bespoke suit Ren's ever had. Connor had to scramble to find a Colt .45, and they couldn't actually load it with a .45 clip, they had to swap clips off camera to not break UK law. This has zero to do with American politics. Amazing, mindblowing song and video.
