I have a SmokeMaster 'Custom Made' Prince shape from the same era. The pipe was so used by the previous owner there is a shine from his thumb rubbing on the side of the bowl and over the shaft. Best smoker I own out of all my pipes.

That pipe turned out great. I dabble in restoration myself. The older pipes are usually a bargain and smoke great.

Thanks Kevin! Older pipes are well made and a real bargain! Just takes a little patience and elbow grease 😉

@@MrVintageRestorationthanks for the video. I've been buying estate pipe lots on eBay and finding my favorites. I'm going to start polishing them nice!

I realize you're using Everclear because of the high alcohol content here, but when I clean my regularly smoked pipes, I always use high proof whiskey (the cheap stuff, not gonna use my good stuff for that!). It imparts a nice, smooth flavor for the next couple of smokes. Great restoration. The old ones you find out and about just need some tlc and they're ready to smoke again!

Great tip! Might be inclined to try it with a Canadian whiskey or Rye.
Southern whiskey and Bourbon just bring back bad memories for me 🤣 Glad you enjoyed it! Don't forget to like and subscribe 😀

Всякие спирты в чашу считаю избыточным. Достаточно зубной счеткой с мылом помыть снаружи. А трубка - бомба

Turned out great! What’s that polish you used for the stem?

I used my own brand of Automotive compound. The part that wasn't shown (for time sake) is I wet sanded it with 800 grit, then buffed it with the compound using a small buff on a Dremel. My compounds are available on my website

I have about thirty Kaywoodie pipes and none have that marking on bottom of bowl. Any ideas? Thanks 🙏

I assume by marking you mean the "carburetor" it's a aluminum pressed in fitting and was sold as an added cost option on many Kaywoodie pipes.

Thanks for the views Bonnie! I'm always open to talk about customer work. Every restoration is different, so to quote exactly what it would be is difficult. Feel free to reach out to me at mr.vintagerestoration@gmail.com with pictures and a description of the work you would like done and we can go from there! Thanks again for watching, and appreciating our work!
