Just as ll initial authors of a specific genre have their material and style borrowed into others so does this happen.
Likeclockwork00 there are loads of sounds that other people introduced that aren't spammed everytime there's a video of it in the comments, I could care less about factual basis or conclusions, I find it annoying personally that people just seem to focus on that all the time when it's not even anything special. So what if she was first & it got popular, this isn't her video, it's similar to when people have to compare movies that have aspects that are almost the same, or as other people would call it "copying", regardless there's no credit due, she didn't invent anything. Just like you said, heather introduced, aka being responsible of it being on the ASMR scene, nobody "borrowed" anything, if you torrent something you don't borrow it from someone else, the original "introducer(uploader I guess)" still has it.
