[4K] Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas USA - Scenic Driving - Relaxing Nature Scenery

- Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is located 15 miles west of Las Vegas, and is easily seen from the Las Vegas Strip. The conservation area showcases a set of large red rock formations: a set of sandstone peaks and walls called the Keystone Thrust. The walls are up to 3,000 feet high, making them a popular hiking and rock climbing destination. The highest point is La Madre Mountain, at 8,154 feet.
A one-way scenic loop road, 13 miles long, provides vehicle access to many of the features in the area. Several side roads and parking areas allow access to many of the area trails. A visitor center is at the start of the loop road. The loop road is also popular for bicycle touring; it begins with a moderate climb, then is mostly downhill or flat.

I took a tour there once a few years ago along with Spring Valley Mountain Ranch. There were lots of wild burro out there. You wouldn't think that such a solitary, bucolic place is just right outside of Las Vegas!

It’s a scenic drive, not a highway. Going at high speeds defeats the purpose.

we have no places like these in our country, cool to watch, its kinda cool to walk such foreign place but it looks like walking is not the ideal thing to travel since it looks like no establishment anywhere you can see

Nice video but it would have been better if you pulled up to one of the scenic viewpoints and panned the camera around a bit. Anyway, I think Red Rock is overrated compared to Valley of fire which is much larger with more unique rock formations, scenic stops, petroglyphs, and red rock on both sides of the road.
