Due to the Covid-19 pandemic I haven’t been able to spend any money (my family won’t let me) for a good while but when it’s finally safe I’m going to buy something nice. I’m thinking an outside horn Victor or a Edison Triumph. And I did buy said outside horn Victor!
@@1974hurt Do you think the the Victors sound as good as non-Orthoponic victrolas? I am thinking the Victrolas may possibly sound a bit better because closing the Victrola lid while playing seems to cover some of the needle noise. thoughts?
I saw a Victor III some twenty years ago or so it had a 10'" inch turntable and a wood horn and looked like it could have been the model for the Grammy Award, nice looking machine the dealer had it priced at $1,200.00,he did not get that much for I think,if I remember correctly he got something like $850.00,he was not really happy but,I didn't think he'd get what he was asking

Beautiful quartersawn oak, especially on the crankside panel. . Am a fellow collector/repair as well. Lots of fun these old machines.
Forgot I'm on my daughters account, will subscribe to you later on mine.
Gorgeous machine!
We agree!
Great looking machine!
I think so too!

We got a fair deal, not great but decent because the machine looks mint/ I still have to fix the springs.
ˆhave a very hard time hearing you speak. Perhaps a clip on mic would be better than speaking at a distance?
Yes, that was in our pre-mic days! Now all of our videos are with microphones.
