Arch Enemy got a golden opportunity here to make a version of this song with Angela growling and Alissa on clean vocals.
Angela is also Amaranthe's manager since September 2018, which may account for their current success :D

Then a perfect throwback for you guys should be when Arch Enemy playing live In Japan 2008. Masterpiece live perfomance by the whole band. I miss Angela also, more after this music video like you guys said. I like that the structure of the song was more *heavy*, because Im not huge fan of Amaranthe.

Saw Amaranthe as support for Sabaton this sunday, and I tell you they were amazing. Such a glorious energy and dedication to the audience. They have become one og my absolute favourite hands.

i saw Amarathe once too, the were supporting Hammerfall a few years back, and they were so fucking boring, i really hope it was just that one show, because otherwise i'm gonna have to say goodbye to the band
@@bostjancretnik4007 They've improved their live performance a lot! A lot better now than they were back in the day. The new lead singer (Jake changed to Nils in 2017) was a great choice. Live he brings a lot of power to the band, and you can see how they move and talk a lot more confident.

seeing and hearing angela back and especialy that she is in her perfect shape, like never left, like those 8 years never happened, she is so amazing i miss her so much, she is just too huge, her legendarity is immense, i felt such joy watching and listenting to her, i never even dreamt that she could return, the event for me is almost the same if Tarja would rejoin Nightwish, i would just die from happiness. this Angela's come back is almost same hype for me... i am still under euphoria, though it was released days ago...

This is Angela Gossow (who's the first vocalist of the band, now manager. She has solo work and colabs). Angela (and the current vocalist Alyssa, who can sing operatic or regular rock) have vocal technique on point. Growling("fry"), without technique, blows the vocal chords, damages the larinx, but Angela and now Alyssa know how to do it properly, not using the chords mainly. To work well, the woman has to have a natural deeper voice: contralto, mezzo contralto. Some mezzo sopranos or sopranos can "fry the voice" if they have a long vocal range and can go down in note scale, but it's more rare.

Very good song from Amaranthe. To me it sounds little bit heavier than their previous albums. Not only because of Angela's vocals but also musically it feels heavier

I like the balance in this - I know you're a fan of the Arch Enemy parts in particular (yes, Queen Gossow is a powerhouse, and that solo kicks ass), but I truly believe the sum is equal than its parts, the combination and mix is what makes this *really* good.
The Yin/Yang is not an outlandish parallel. And while I generally feel that blunt political messages in songs are cringe-worthy, this one feels acceptable enough.

So having seen both Angela and Alissa live with AE, I like Alissa, shes a real talent. But Angela has a ferocity to her voice and presence she just cant match.

Sad, that you don't react to the lyrics. The lyrics of this song are so important, especially for Angela! She pleased the band to write a song about the environmental issues in the world and the climate change, that song and this video is the result.

Wrong guys, I'm not here for Amaranthe. I'm here for Elize.
I've seen two reactions to this already. VERY dissapointed. No zoom to Elize with the white robes, only some very distant and few seconds. But otherwise it was good. Yeah a beauty and beast duetto. Angela's vocal fry worked kind of an instrument as Elize sang on top of it, and it worked well in the beginning as a frustrated cry. I'm not a big fan of vocal fry, but it's OK sometimes and even good sometimes. Very well made video, the two kick-ass beauties steal the attention though. Somehow I have a feeling Amaranthe has done this music dozen times already. But maybe it's because I saw this video many times already.

A metal reaction channel that refuse to react to Manowar is like a metal band refusing to use electric guitars. React to some "The Dawn of Battle", "House of Death", "Warriors of the world", "King of Kings" and why not the ultimate metal experience that was "Battle Hymn" live at Earthshaker festival in 2005 when they had all past and present band members on stage as well as a symphonic orchestra and choir. That was the triumph of steel.

Well,Amaranthe is not my kind of a band. Music for pissed off teenagers in my opinion...But I am really glad to see Angela in a good shape and she still has her raw power! Her voice is way too strong for a disco-metal like this. But still,glad to see her! Thanks.guys! By the way,it would be a real fun to see Alissa and Angela singing together at some point.

I really dig the song, but I'm disappointed by the vocals only being by Elize and Angela. The whole appeal of the band for me has been the blend of all three vocalists, so it kind of bummed me out to be honest

I just can't get into Amaranthe, sound so over-produced and slick that it doesn't even sound like a real band is playing. But damn I wish Angela was back making more music!
