just got it for $88 today. A store had it for years, no one bought it, the box was a lil bit damaged, and I bought it, i feel blessed getting this for such a good deal

From what I remember from NECA's twitter page, the umbrella was meant to be fully functional. The factory however had a difficult time trying to produce it so it was scrapped.
Great review! they definitely need to make a Batman Returns Batman because the look is so entirely different. Would be cool if they one with the mask torn off too as a variant.
Yeah I have him on the way. I'm going to be doing a good bit of custom work on him. I ordered a American doll umbrella and making the sword on the end. Going to style his hair down and greasy and restyle that coat. may do a little airbrush on it. and get that fur to lay down.

Great review sir! Is the figure hollow (rotocast) or is it solid plastic? Can you tell me how heavy the figure is compare to other NECA 1/4 figures? Can you weigh him for me? Thanks!
+Fiorwestcoast ok maybe you have right but for mme it needs a face repaint because that black paint in the mouth is only for the final part where he is dying and not have the overcoat y want a diorama with the overcoat and y want a fuckin umbrella!!!!!
+mauro sosa if you watch the whole movie the mouth is always wet. Danny constantly kept red and green mouth wash in his mouth when he would finish his lines it came out.

I really liked but I won't hive 10,the umbrella should be the most have accessorie and I didn't like the hair I liked sculp better but the figure is beautifully. I highly recommended
Great review and no doubt one of my most anticipated figures of all time. He looks brilliant, BUT and I hate to pick flaws, there are a few things that disappoint me. firstly and foremost the lack of umbrella is hugely disappointing. I don't understand considering all the technological advancements how the umbrella was so difficult to produce, not to mention how they realised it wasn't possible only a couple of months before the figure's release. I also don't like how they made out the cigarette, monocle and fish were extras due to the lack of umbrella even though in a picture of one of the earliest prototypes he was holding the fish indicating we would have recieved those accessories anyway. The final problem for me is that as good as it is, it looked ao much better in the previews such as detail, realism and the fact the hair was all real as opposed to some of it. I just don't like it when companies make out we're getting something that we're not. All that aside, it is still a great looking piece, and I'll finally have the DeVito Penguin I wanted since I was a little boy. Great figure, with the exception of a few let downs. Maybe we'll get another one in his smart mayor outfit where he finally includes an umbrella.

With how many collectors there are, someone will be offering custom umbrellas for this figure its pretty much guaranteed. so if you have to spend a couple extra dollars for an accessory to a figure you claim to have wanted since a you were a kid, then no big deal right? its still incredibly cheaper than a hot toys doll, not to mention if youre smart then you got this figure for 70 shipped, not 100+ with tax off of bbts. And if you think they are going to do another penguin figure you are out of your mind,we were lucky enough to get this one.

I think I have lost my appetite for action figures and am thinking of selling almost every one I own, except the gems. I prefer statues and busts. My advice to you is to do as the other commenter said. Buy it and wait until someone makes an umbrella. Maybe Tony Mei could do one for you? Try contacting him on Facebook. He makes custom accessories for HT and NECA products.
Beautiful (kinda), but 1/4 scale..? nope. Sure hope he gets scaled down to their regular scale, and hope they give us Max Shreck, I need a Christopher Walken in my collection; Max Shreck was an awesome character.

Neca's sculpts are getting really good. This and the 1/4 Hulk at SDCC are sideshow level sculpts.
