- Enon Mound is an ancient Native American Adena burial mound located near Dayton, Ohio. The mound stands nearly 3 stories tall and over 100 feet wide. Similar large Adena mounds that still exist today are Miamisburg Mound in Miamisburg, Ohio and Grave Creek Mound in Moundsville, West Virginia. Nice improvement on the surrounding fence. I can remember when there wasn't a fence. There's an awesome view of the valley from the top btw.

The Grave Creek mound is actually located in the aptly named city of Moundsville, West Virginia. I live about two miles out of town on one of the three forks of Grave Creek. There is a small museum at the base of the mound with exhibits of the Adena culture, artifacts and other information on the Adenas which date back over 2,200 years. There is also a now closed 19th century prison across the street. Both are open to the public for tours. The prison now has haunted house and ghost hunting expeditions, some of which can be found on TH-cam.

I apologize for the typo. I didn't mean to put Grave Creek a second time. I've been there and it has a nice museum and is a really cool sight next to the old prison!

Thats my hometown. Its a great place to live. Outside the hustle and bustle of life in the cities or suburbs that surround them. But close enough to everything you could want. Its very low key. Population has remained about the same since the 60s. Some people who were born there and move, come back to raise their kids there. Because small town life is the best.
Looks like the makings of a terrible horror movie.
