@@GreenCocanix Then he'd have been better served not changing the name of his party in 1936 to: "British Union of Fascists and National Socialists." Unless you have an insight into Mosley's opinion of himself and his cause to which Mosley himself was not privy? MAN--YOU'RE GOOD!

Mosley wanted a untied Western European mainly as a united super power to combat against the Soviet’s and so American capitalists wouldn’t have massive influence over Western Europe. Quite forward thinking

George From Ireland - Reflections yes. Europe a nation. One of the first to propose such an idea. Not a bad one either

The two-way traffic exchanging Labour (or socialist) types and those in the BUF is surprising to few people not passionately devoted to one or the other. It's only the difference between a "National" and an "International" approach to socio-economic and political affairs. Or, the difference between wearing blue socks versus orange ones.

Hi George another brilliant talk.. thank you.. I just happened to see an interview with him I suppose a few years before he died.. Your last comment on him was very astute.. I had always thought of him as a preposterous cartoon of a man but during this interview I found that he could present himself as a fairly charming and thoughtful man.. He had reasons for all the violence and felt himself persecuted .. It was a little surprising..but I think you explained it quite well. Will try and find some money to send your way.. not to flush myself but certainly enjoy your work and hope you keep it up.. One of the brighter lights on u tube.

This was his house for a short time in the 1920s when he was an MP the Mosley family's London home was in Hill Street Mayfair now demolished.

@@GeorgeFromIrelandReflections l would imagine he would have got rid of it in about 1930 when he ceased to be an MP he bought an old nightclub in the 1930s which he converted to a house then had a flat in Dolphin Square where he was living in 1940 where he was arrested.

Great video Oswald Mosley’s first wife Cynthia Curzon was not a quarter Jewish her mothers father Levi Leiter was an American of Swiss-German decent the myth that her grandfather was a jew has been going around for decades due to his name but it’s been proven all of his family before him here Swiss Mennonites Oswald would have been acutely aware of his first wife’s Ancestry through her gentry English father and through her American mothers Anglo-Swiss German ancestry . His second wife Diana was completely British English and Scottish mostly they are one of the oldest families in England Diana herself was a cousin of Winston Churchill’s Wife Clementine and of Bruce Ogilvy who married a cousin of the queen.
