I love your cover of this great song. I think you capture the essence of the song. Though I also love Marty's version, I think yours comes closer to portraying the broken heart that the writer had when he wrote it.
The setting and your phrasing on this are sublime -- I imagined that thoughts of a lost love were running through your mind, especially toward the end of the video.
I will never forget Marty Balin in concert out west in San Francisco a Bill Graham show in 1981 he arrived late and the bouncers wouldn't let him up on the stage (thinking he was a crazed fan) then at the last minute during this song he had managed to get to the front of the stage and I forget who it was that saw him a memeber of Jefferson Starship pulled him up onto the stage just in the nick of time to start singing this song! true story! Good job well done, i like your hair cut better too
