I thank you for showing us how to setup the z probe using the open build software, but I did see how you get the but to come back down to the cutting height after you setup the Z probe. Do you click the reset to zero or do you click the return to zero to begin cutting?

I see you have a number of desktop cnc machines of various brands. Based on your experience with them, what would you recommend? I've been working on a Bob's CNC and don't have anything good to say about it.
For the small projects I use the FOXAlien VASTO. It’s very solid and does an excellent job. If you can only have one machine then get the largest on based on your budget and space available in your shop. Since you already have CNC experience, I would suggest the CNC4NEWBIE New Carve.

Hmm you measured the probe with calipers at 14.92, now it measures 15.24. tats 0.32mm discrepancy.. which is right? Plan B FoxAlien state in the manual what to set probe value for Candle?? How accurate is their quote?

Measuring with calipers is the way to do this. The machine should not be used for any precise measurement. Using paper to set the height can easily introduce +-.1mm of error (typically not an issue with most wood working projects) Although using paper 2x (off waste board and off the probe top) will now introduce +- .2mm of error in the measurement. Each incremental click in this example is ~.2mm so that is also roughly +-.2mm. This machine has a fair amount of structural flex which will add to the error.
7:39 thats nono acuracity. you measured it under 15. put atleast sheetmetal there. hold measure tool there and measure plate then measure that height stiill on top that same metal xD now its acurate. when do it auto mode firts you used inches and even hit wood. it have to made hole then you measure on that same hole using inches 0.01 that 0.0254 mm yes thats very not ok LOL paper is 0.1 and you got 0.2 error on calibers

Yes, it will. I chose not to do that since I still use easel also

Yes you can but you will need to change the connector to the controller

In candle what do they recommend. I do not use candle. I think the calipers are off
