It's ridiculous that this new iPad is still only support the first gen Apple Pencil. Clearly this will become the current entry level iPad design for the next 4-5 years

The new iPad 10 Folio Magic Keyboard looks a lot like the Galaxy Tab Book Cover Keyboard. Both two parts, and with adjustable stand.

So its the Ipad Air 4 basically? Just rebranded and has center stage. But at higher price than its worth now. A little disappointed considering this wont get stage manager most likely. I shouldnt have bothered to return my mini 6. The reveal and rumors did not turn out to be true. I wish the back camera had a flash for this price.
And only first gen Apple Pencil support 😢

@@1993rufus its not about the pencil though. At least with ipads you can send more than 1 minute of videos to apple devices. Android is stuck on SMS 3 & MMS 3 since what 2011? So I want a Pixel 6 but then I cant send stuff without being a pain unless both people have google share. Its a give an take for any device. But thankfully there are many others. I am not mad about the apple pencil. I am more annoyed the hiked the price for what it is. Still deciding.
@James R Warzyniak 😂😂 you said it yourself, sending video cross-platform is a pain on BOTH sides, it's Apple that makes it that way. Sending Android to Android is not bad as sending Android to Apple. The pen is important since that's a highlight of the iPads now. Buying that disgrace of a tablet is a dumb move. More expensive and has loss of features. My Tab S8 Ultra is a beast and I'm happy i went with it over an iPad!!
At 449 it's better to buy ipad air 4 even if it's refurbished

Note series has had "Hover" since the Note 4 back when Jobs said "Who wants a stylus?" And the iSheep laughed so hard that day! 😂

Innovation doesn't come cheap. Apple products has always been this way since 2000

The UK price rise is insane. Previous iPad model launched at £319, this new one is £499. They have also kept the previous iPad for sale but have upped it to £369!
And I’ve spotted they have stealthily increased the iPad Air prices. Was £569 last week, now £669!

Similar situation here in the Philippines. The US price increase was unexpectedly huge ($120), plus the PHP has lost a lot of value vs USD. The price jump is equivalent to the price of a decent Android phone.
I still use an iPad 8, but at these prices, might switch to an Android tablet when I need to replace it. So long, “budget” iPad. It was the best tablet for the money, while it lasted (2017-2021).

Well, This is same chip and stuff like my Air 4 from two years ago... And it has USB-C, why didnt they do it here? Same body (almost, those smart connectors are on different place)
As this has flat side, this should have support for magnetic Apple pencil and base storage should be 128gb at $449.
This dongle for pencil and base storage 64gb make this ipad 10 a very bad deal.

Base price for the new 10th generation iPad at $ 449.00. It is less than the original $ 499.00 2010 iPad when adjusted for inflation would now be $ 679.22 on the launch date of the 10th generation iPad.
Hope someone can tell me what the full specs are on the IEC 62680 USB C style port on the new iPad. In the USB 3.0/3.1/3.2 mode, two or four high speed links are used in TX/RX pairs to provide 5 to 10, or 10 to 20 Gbit/s throughput respectively. So what is the data transfer rate?
Still apple pencil 1 support (with lightning port bleghhh), which means you’d have to buy non Apple stylus for that sweet sweet USB C :(

I was planning on buying the 10th gen iPad and switch to the Apple ecosystem gradually.
But now I'll stick with Samsung. Using the 1st gen Apple Pencil even though it supports USB-C is just criminal. Not to mention the huge price hike, but the screen still isn't laminated.
Apple clearly didn't think through this at all. We're literally paying almost $100 more for just a simple redesign and more headache (dongles)
Yeah stick with Samsung, when even the 9th gen Ipad is a better tablet than anything Samsung has. Smart choice.
