Loth 9, although Raxxla is still kinda cannon (Even though I guess it not orginal lore) Also all up to frontier: first encounters is cannon. But still how epic would my idea be. Maybe you could have an engineer build a device that cancels the EMP effect, then the big factions (exept the Allience) detect a HUGE alien armada coming for inhabited space, heading for maybe the formanie rift (Which I think might be a Raxxla thing??? ) A huge fleet is put together with imperial and federal ships, around 5-10 capital ships. A community goal is set up to meet the fleet and get ready to defend (All ships just put as friendly for commanders unless attack) Then the ships come, huge amount (10-20) the fleet goes to engaged, you hear the federation and empire fleets communicating over the comms. But then, we are warned a capital class signature is detected as the your ships systems go dead except for life support and comms. You here chatter over the comms, a lot of pilots are confused, you here the head of the federal navy who is aboard one of the capital ships "Commanders *Sigh* we are detceding a huge ship, much bigger than we have ever seen... Even now it seems to be affecting our systems... **Background** "Sir its coming out of witchspace now!" The whole sector goes black as the light of the star is being blocked by something... Its a massive alien ship, some of the smaller ships starts dragging some AI controlled ships towards the big alien ship, you hear screaming over the comms "O GOD HELP M-" As the tiny ship in compassion is dragged in to the much larger ship. We hear bickering from the imperial ships to federal command "What have done you federal bastards, you have doomed us all!" "I... I am sorry... If I had known... We have just doomed humanity..." Suddenly a ship off the corner of the battle field comes out of witchspace with a pop, we hear more chatter over the comms "Sir another ship has come out of witchspace, it bares Alliance symbols" "**Sigh** Great even the alliance gets to join in in the massacre" "But sir... It... **Surprised** It does not seem to be affected by the EMP... "What?!" Suddenly a new voice joins the comms "Hello their commanders, I am Jess Simms of the Alliance Navy, I see you are having a little bit of trouble there!" The head of the Imperial fleet yells out over the comms "What are you doing!? Why are you here? How are you res-" He is cut off by Simms " To deliver a message to you sir by orders of Prime Minister Edmund Mahon" Another new voice joins the chat "This is Admiral Toby Harris of the Alliance navy, I hear you require our support, we are sending one of our newest ships that will assist in stopping the EMP affect on your ships, when or ship enters the sector in a mom-" He is cut off by Simms (just as we hear capital class signature detected) "In short, the cavalierly here! boys!" A huge ship about the size of the alien capital ship comes out of witchspace with Alliance symbols as you ships comes back online and springs to life as the alien ships go to engage the Alliance fleet that has now entered the sector and the battle begins!!!
I was pulled from Witch Space by them in my Corvette. I didn't fire on them. Just let them do their thing while I smoked a cigar in my chair and waved. If they remember me. I'll buy them a round.

Come on...tell me this is not like "The Expanse" we now have aliens spewing goo over ships and what looks like feeding on them. And we get asteroid bases just like Eros station, I love it.
I don't know what weapons they have but I want some lol Can't wait until this unknown presence is fleshed out, maybe be able to work with the aliens, gain there trust, buy and fly there ships/weapons. Going to be epic >:D
if its thargoids then its not possible. they are hyper aggressive and have tech far beyond us. a truce was reached previously because the combined effort of the federation and empire produced a bacterial infection that brought them to their shitty exoskeleton knees then the alliance gave them a cure and helped them get the hell out of dodge before the feds and imperials coup de grâce them bug mother fuckers. if they shoot first your already done. and if not then your time is short. i know im gonna be far more aggressive than they ever will be.
notice how it's only federal corvettes no other type of federal ship wonder if it has to do with players in federal corvettes outright attacking them like I've seen in videos

I don't think it's the Thargoids. The Thargoids would have destroyed these ships. These ships are just decommissioned. Well placed shots in areas to disarm/disable a ship. I still think it's the same ship from the first encounter. Why? Because it doesn't kill you. It just scans you and moves on. If it was Thargoids, you would have been killed on site. This looks like a defensive attack. This is all speculation on my part.
Dante Colon I have to agree with you on this.. It does appear that the ships have been disabled defensively and then the unknown ship departed. (We saw the ship leaving as the video was starting up) I think the Feds are prodding at these new galactic neighbors a bit too agrressively.
CMDR Misha Dark That and I remember in the book, Elite: Dangerous Reclamation, Loren met a woman saying there's another species more hardcore than the Thargoids. Past the Formadine. I hope it's them because we already know about the Thargoids. I want to know who else is out there more hardcore.
A lot points to the thargoids though. These effects all appear to be corrosive in nature. Now if we look at the unknown probes, (also the same corrosive effect and can cause the same emp shutdown that these ships cause) are always pointing in the direction of the nearest nebulae. Nebulae are mostly filled with anemonea (yes I forgot how to spell that) based atmosphere planets. The same type that thargoids call home. As well the ship shape is very similar to the shape of those from the first elite game, as well as being the only known species being capable of pulling ships from witch space, just like these ships do. All the evidence points to thargoids, especially with all the probes scattered near our stations. It seems like they're trying to gauge our military strengths and map our defenses before the assault begins.

Its been around since the game came out in alpha. A blocked off area's with Unknown Permit required is these guys. if it as the Thargoids we would have data on it since they are canon to the ELITE World. This has to be something else. something more.
