After the recording of the album “Edge of Thors”. Criss Oliva, founding guitarist and brother of vocalist and keyboardist Jon Oliva, passed away in an accident. He was at the top, even Mustaine wanted him for Megadeth. Later, the band would record two more albums and would transform into Transiberian Orchestra (TSO). In 2025, a new presentation of Savatage was announced after more than 10 years.
