Thanks for your comments I do hope you enjoyed my homemade now my next step is the table support body lathe. Because I take time to look at the gear rack, especially its pinion because different teeth very poor my place never have any tools as want if I found over prices.
😲 wow! Brilliant,,. Really nice love the idea with the oil and marking chalk to show the high spots, you gave very ingenious and creative techniques and I'm going to use them in my future projects. And your the captain of 😎 cool
Thanks for your information I appreciated it been my work hard many problems in this project. This time I was finished but I had to develop step by step. Now health not good I stopped a month go I hope I can get back soon. I thought my workshop very poor everything I made most by hand because my place very poor is not easy t find out. Thanks
fantastic job. Your workmanship is superior. Bravo. You are surely a very talented young man.. can't wait to see you turning and making chips. take your time. There is no hurry. Thanks for the great video. Kimber
Thank you, Mr. Kimber I will try my best to continue this project. Seem to slow because I do not know the kind of tools and size of the gear. I do learn a lot from you too. This project take so long because I did by hand.
Glad you found a rack and pinion for your lathe bed carriage. I would probably try to clean the pinion gear, maybe soak it in a baking soda solution, then scrub scrub scrub until it travels along the rack smoothly. Both parts will probably need a chemical bath. If you must replace one or the other there is a simple formula to give you a tooth count that will work if you change gear diameters.
Thank you, my dear friend. I'm so happy with my homemade lathe bed and carriage very nice and contact I can see how is the weight of the carriage cross slider and compound cider and tool post total 76kg but when I push it it feel like 4 or 5kg that is amazing otherwise no shack between rail and carriage. Tomorrow I will build a table to support the lathe body. I really appreciate your recommendation. I am still looking pinion for the gear rack because pinion teeth to tight.
Incrivel como você esta contruindo essa maquina! O resultado esta ficando como um torno industrial! Para quem constroi seus proprios projetos, sabe o quanto é dificel ter bons resultados! Parabéns você faz isso parecer facil!
Thank you for your comment! I do hope you enjoy it, I will try my best and it will be finished someday. Now I’m making a table support lathe body because now it is really heavy. I can’t move. So I will upload soon
Rack and.gear looks to be metric/imperial mix, but if they mesh OK, then set up a.saddle bracket arrangement, wth a shaft to carry the gear and lap the rack and gear with waste abrasive particles and thick oil. - pull rack back and forth while adjusting the height of the saddle clamp jig. You'll get very high precision and super smooth action..

some people say double V bed is better than single V or flat as the wear is more even and self-centering....but requires more precision to get both V's perfectly in same plane. Flat is the most economical version in terms of repair, but wears more.
Stop apologising - 😁 As a trained and experienced machine tool fitter/turner, then I can say your doing a good job with limited tools - BRAVO. My advice is not to fall into a perception trap, where your ideas are limited by what manufacturer's /others do.. Golden rule 1- PREP ALL WELDS remove millscale/bevel... No2 - NEVER machine and then weld/fabricate. No3 - ALL metals are pre stressed(flame cutting, hot/cold roll forming..... De-stress(normalise) as best you can(heat soak metal in a controlled fire pit...). ❤️👍
Happy New Year all the best wishes I got feedback about that because work alone I have a good camera but my computer is very poor. If one day everything better I change.
Olá, meu amigo!!! como vai? funcionou tão bem, mas meu problema é que ferramentas e equipamentos para continuar a seguir parecem lentos porque aqui não há esse tipo de coisa
I am never disappointed to see your videos may the lord bless you and your family.
Thank you for your support and my handy work I do hope you enjoyed it. I do apologize for my posting never in time because I did it by hand.
That's one fine shiny lathe bed.. great to see your progress

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 yep if your bed is sliding along with a 1/10 force to weight ratio you've done well my friend!
And good luck, I hope you find one soon! Not sure how a rack and pinion from a vehicle steering system would work but may be worth looking into
My problem is doesn't know the name of each tool lathe
Está ficando top 🇧🇷👍
Thanks for your support my video I will try my best

Не закаленная сталь по не закаленной стали будут задиры при первой же нагрузке. Надо обязательно делать накладки из хороших пар скольжения.
Well done 🎉

Maybe a microphone for those of us who can't hear with wind noise. Put all your lathe videos in one so there in one place.

What is the power of the electric motor?
2horsepower
you will overcome them and that comes against you.
Thanks I will try 🙏💪
