    Dear JJR, as a cake decorator myself, I have a lot of people say that they don't want to eat my cakes because they look too beautiful to eat. To them I will say that I would be hurt if they didn't cut into it and eat it because of how much work I put into to making it taste good. 😋 Love you're show! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

    When one of the guys (sorry, don't remember names) said "Holy cow" I started to laugh. Years ago I taught English as a Second Language - colloquial words were the hardest to explain. One student from Bogota asked me "What colour is a holy cow?" About died laughing.
    Oh, and it's ca-ra-mel. Carmel is s place in California. 😅

    • @meganissertell413
      @meganissertell413 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The place in California is more pronounced “car-MEH-L” with emphasis put on the second syllable. When people pronounce caramel as carmel, the emphasis is put on the first syllable and the second syllable ends up being more like the word mull. So like CAR-mull so like it’s still different haha. It should be 3 syllables though but that’s at least how they make the distinction here in California

    Was it Brandon that said the caramel was going to be his breakfast? I've never tried Hagelslag, but caramel spread on toast topped with chopped pecans is amazing. I haven't made my own caramel yet, but I like the Grenache brand of caramel spread available in Canada. Toasted white bread is the best with caramel. It's similar in taste to a sticky bun.
    That cake looks so good! I can't believe you didn't cut her on camera. I just got into watching your channel about a month ago and so far, this is my favourite cake in terms of flavour. You've decorated some fantastic looking cakes, but I imagine this one is the most delicious. Caramel is my favourite flavour. Seriously, caramel apples are my favourite fruit. So, you've got me really interested in making my own caramel now. I've always been reluctant to try making it because of the boiling sugar, but it doesn't seem to be too bad if you use a deep enough pot.
    Also, I call the spreadable stuff care-a-mel. But, the when it's cut into pieces and wrapped in cellophane (as in the Kraft brand of candies), I call those car-mels. I know both are the same thing, but I differentiate between the consistency of the stuff---gooey or firm and chewy.

    When he said _9 inch_ I got so excited! So many other TH-camrs have these dainty 7 inch cake pans! No there’s nothing wrong with 7 inches, but wouldn’t you rather have 9 inches?

    Cream of tartar is a byproduct of wine making, also know as potassium bitartrate. Great for muscle cramps after a workout.

    I made the cake, but not a popcorn fan, so I make caramel balls, and dipped them in white and dark choc.

    Aussies say ca-ra-mel.
    And I have to try the toast thing. But us Aussies have fairy bread which is buttered bread with sprinkles and if you have that at a birthday you had the best party. And the coolest parents.

    In German it's written Karamell and pronounced Ka-ra-Mell. The "a"s are pronounced like the a in car, the e is short because of the ll and the stress is on the third syllable :-) The cake looks so good!

    Agree with Romi Z three syllables in caramel for sure.
    Also - is Hagelslag the Dutch version of the Australian Fairybread??!! Do you have that in the US? The Aussie version definitely has a much cuter name!
