I suspected the cheat earlier in the game but that pawn push when the rook was there to be taken was dead give away.

Purchased a Caro-Kann course a few years back that confused me more than anything. Watched these videos a few times, won the first two games I'd played in over a year and a half, and actually understood how I was doing it!
I’m a caro player and since the start of this series I’ve gone from 750-920…

Jetsurgeon was a cheat yet their account didn’t get banned. That’s wild to me.
Some of them disguise it well. It can't tell you are cheating it needs a bunch of data to declare it (input speed, accuracy, differential), unless many report the account and someone manually looks at it. If you look at her stats it's a lot of 60-70 accuracy games. I wonder what the accounts accuracy was verse Eric.
It's only been a minute. Wait a little longer and see what happens to their account. My guess is it won't be around for much longer.

Definitely looked like cheating to me. I'm 1400 or so, so similar level, they were not 1400 moves.
I don't why you cheat in chess. The point is let the elo system match you against similar opponents. If you cheat outside your elo, you have to cheat every game or lose.
I started using the caro after this series and realised its perfect for a slow grinder like me. Just hit 1700 for the first time!
Consistently 3-4 seconds per move. Nice!

What I have been doing is playing these games out OTB - going through the thought process and pausing the video before Eric makes his move. Really good way to correct my thinking.

That was blatant cheating. Taking 4-5 seconds each move and playing perfectly for the whole game, then at the end when they don't have time to check the engine then they suddenly start making 500 level blunders every move.
They were obviously cheating lol, so typical to start panicking when you run low on time and can’t use the engine

Take a look at some of their bullet games, comically bad moves with 30 seconds on the clock.
There is absolutely no chance a 990 Bullet player is outplaying a GM. None.
Yeah that profile is suspicious as hell, was surprised to see it wasn’t banned yet. I agree, 1000 bullet and 1700-1800 blitz, something doesn’t add up.

May this series never end.
At the moment of writing this, Jetsurgeon is still an open account... And this is EXACTLY the problem with online chess... Except for the obvious cheaters who play like 99% games all the times, there are the others as well... The ones that cheat only for 1-2 moves in a game.. But these 1-2 moves are crucial in giving them an advantage and finally the win.... For me, it's utterly disheartening to face such opponents that I KNOW they have cheated but there is no way to prove it. And no matter how many times I report them they just keep going... They have found this balance of cheating enough to win but not enough to get detected....
Is any one else feeling the same?
Jup, 1300-1400 is mud. Very difficult to come out of it.
I almost never feel people are cheating. I have gotten 2 or 3 messages from chess.com saying someone I previously played was banned for fair play. I think most players/games are legit.
I feel the same,they can cheat from time to time and nothing will ever happen to their accounts..

Feelings are not are not a good judgment. I get accused of cheating often, and it sux, and it's people like you who do it with no base in reality

At 50 minutes NG4 is a crazy threat, mate with QH4 if pawn takes, if king takes Ng3 then you have a discovered attack with NF2 on the queen

Having 100% accurate games doesn’t mean someone cheated, I’ve done it before it just depends on the game and opening.
@@nubgutter yes ik 100% is possible without cheating eg the scholars mate if works out as it is supposed to would count as a 100% accuracy game, but they had games which were long and went into many move middle games. It isn’t possible for normal players to get 100% games like that. only top gms can, that too once in a while.

You're not really seeing the strength of the opening because the opponents sre are playing bullet. This would've been better at 5 mins
I might actually start playing this because I play scandi and the pawn structure is basically the same
