Fantastic interview Nick...really like this guy and his philosophy. It sounds like the UK along with the US severely needs more trade schools to teach skills.
so glad you found these guys, I have 4 pairs in different cuts and denims. partners has 3. Love the quality of the product and the love involved in the making, A visit to the shop is a must you are always welcomed. Their wash lab and community support is second to none.
Bro, Nick this interview was exceptional! Great job man! I received my Blackhorse SE-1 jeans just a few weeks ago, so it was a pleasant surprise that this interview release coincided with that. Keep it up - great content.
LSG denim interview!! 😂😂 they’re up here in Canada 🇨🇦! This guy is right on point I’d love to take a class and learn from him and his employees. It’s amazing how he wants to share his knowledge
@@luckydc3761 way less options, more tame, but better quality control and attention to detail. Sorry N&F lol but they’re also smaller so it’s easier for them to manage a tight QC
For anyone wondering, the NW8 fit is very similar to newer Naked & Famous weird guy fit. The similarities end there, Blackhorse lane jeans fit & finish is another level.
@@Stridewise darn it Hopefully another time . Would love to see more inside the factory, there's very little on TH-cam about them except for an old news clip
why dont this guy go to india, pakistan, bangladesh and teach them how to make better jeans..this guy is more than happy to go to NYC....the brands went to cheaper countries to maximize their profits..if rana plaza incident happened it was directly due to the western brands race to slash prices..he was also in the same bandwagon but now as he has seen that there is an interest in this made in UK revival ,he has joined this bandwagon..more power to him... but how many of us are willing to pay 200dollars for a made in bangladesh jeans..if grantstone raised their prices to alden level and start paying their workers the same amount as alden does..how many of us will pay for it??? and granstone areway better built than alden with so much better quality control...but lets just call a spade a spade..
He's thrown himself into the city that he loves and has invested his livelihood into it for over 25 years, doing something which connects directly with the industry and people of the city. You may not be Superman but he certainly is a Londoner.
Hello Superman! I was born in London and have spent most of my life living there. However, I don’t regard myself as being more of a Londoner than than many of the migrants who have lived and worked there for decades. I recently purchased a pair of Black Horse Lane Atelier jeans. They're amazing! Thanks for sharing the interview.
Brilliant interview with a kind and gentle man. 👍🏾

I like this man's idea and philosophy. More of him please.
Thanks a lot , Nick! Very interesting interview!
My man with a new video heck yeah !
There are a few clothing factories still in New York, but I don't think any of them specialize in denim.
Interesting interview
Bring him to Brooklyn!
Email him!
Have you been to WIlliamsburg Garment Company in Brooklyn? I've only experienced their alterations (on 4 pairs of jeans) but they did a good job.
How could you go to England and not visit Crown Northampton 😖
I had a Northampton trip booked but covid shut it down!

I’d rather my cash go to England than China, that’s for sure.
