GG Montana, but can we give some love to TSU making this a game in the high country?! THIS is what all southern FCS schools gotta realize, in my view: if you want the chip, you have to go the high country and win. TSU took a big step forward tonight, even in defeat. Well played Tigers and well coached Eddie George. Also, thanks for posting these highlights, OP. It's the next day and the official NCAA site STILL doesn't have them posted. I knew this game would be good and I've been feenin' to see how this game played out. Many thanks 🫡👍🏿🏈
We're a wild breed here in MT. Our Cat and Grizz programs take out of state talent and make them TOUGH. This was a tough game. Much respect to both programs. Bobcats practice at 5k elevation. We'll see if that has any advantage in Brookings, SD.
I agree with this. But the favor needs to be returned vice versa. What is the furthest south Montana has been in the past 15 years? Tennessee St has gone to Eastern Washington and NDSU the past 2 seasons. Along with this game vs Montana, the TSU program is learning how championship level FCS play is implemented. Eddie needs strong, quick linenen on both sides of the ball + a few dynamic playmaker who can really run or catch the ball. With NDSU coming to Nashville in 2025, it'll be interesting to see the recruits TSU will bring in to attempt to challenge NDSU in an early season matchup.
@@finisher3xLet's keep in mind this is a HBCU. And they are often shafed of truly good talent. But I guess since they are in the Big South-OVC, you never know.
@gs4395 These weird new conferences in the wake of the realignments that are happening all over college sports are creating new challenges AND new opportunities. Maybe schools like JSU now that they're out of the HBCUs will get more opportunities to play big out of state talent.
Unfortunately TSU got off to a slow start but they started making a game in the second half.Draylen Ellis started getting hot and finished with 29-39 299 yds.He started to find the weaknesses of Montana's pass defense.
They woke up in the second half and started exploiting the pass defense of Montana.Draylen Ellis went 29-39 299 yds in the first half he was held to 39 yds total.I wished that Ellis had more size than 6-1 180 he would be a obvious NFL PROSPECT.His top WR Brenson played well in this game gaining 122 yds and he is bigger than Ellis at 6-3 210 it's a good thing that he is a RED SHIRT JUNIOR so he can get another shot at the FCS PLAYOFFS next year.
I have to politely disagree. Brookings is on the other side of the Continental Divide and gets the Arctic Jet Stream a lot more than Missoula.@@Fissey_Gaming

That's a good win Grizz!
Straight up bad tackling by TSU.
TSU brought their game

TSU's poor point of attack tackling did them in. Also some uncharacteristic bad O-Line play. Almost suspect O-Line play.
Now ya got to go play South Dakota State in Brookings...outside...in December.
Nothing different than Montana weather......
Acting like Montana plays in Florida. Montana is more used to tough weather then South Dakota State
Only thing Griz are not used to is playing in an empty stadium. So yeah. Brookings

Shoutout TSU can't remember the last time they were good
Probably 2000s when they was in a HBCU conference
@gs4395 Never been in an HBCU conference. OVC is the only conference they have ever been in. They were independent.
They were No.1 in '99 and undefeated going in the FCS PLAYOFFS but they were knocked out by MEAC CHAMP North Carolina A&T
@@carlhunter3844 I know a person who has connections with HBCU FOOTBALL and he told me about Tennessee St wanting to join the SWAC decades ago.
