They probably already set a best time with the car, right now they'll just film a cool promotional video about it. My guess is they are gone unveil the set time soon.
Probably too late in the season, weather-wise, to try a full send record attempt. So, might as well use the track rental time to make some videos. This will be a big setback for Ford if they have to wait until next year to pull off a genuine record attempt.
More time for testing and see how the latest iteration of the GT3RS fairs.... Farley has spoken, you can be 100% sure it will meet expectations. No dollar will be left unspent in the effort. Hell, they'll redesign the entire car before it fails.
