I personally found that the better lighting (first one), combined with another mod called the emissive eyes mod, looked the best.
Otherwise, the retexture mod doesn't look that bad. The new eyes look a bit weird imo, as well as the different pattern colouring, but it's definitely more detailed, and Freddy's eyes being his usual blue is a neat touch.
