We have our big mower in the shop because of an engine gone bad. Our 2017 Ferris with 2200 hours had a rip in the inner filter. We checked the outside filter regularly but neglected to inspect the inner 🤦Unfortunately we now have to pay $7k for a new 37hp efi Vanguard (parts/labor/install included) At least we got 2200 hours and 7 years out of that engine 🤷 I priced that same mower that I paid $12k for, goes for $18 today.
@@JsCrazyCutzLLC oh my that’s terrible! So sorry you have to shell out that much cash. It’s absolutely insane. How much mowers have gone up in price.

dust an heat are the 2 biggest killers of lawn mower engines.
I've always added a small amount of clean oil and worked it into the foam prefilters before reinstalling the filter assembly. Never a problem with my Kawi engines.
