True. But it’s creativity brother, and creativity is not limited. Africas potential is being held back or stifled by poor leadership. Young people are creative all over the continent. Just make sure to vote for the right leadership and watch the continent lift off. The future is Africa.
The joke about the "language barrier" is a reference to how the languange of Wakanda that was used in Black Panther was Xhosa. John Kani (King T'chaka) and his son Atandwa Kani (Young King T'chaka) are Xhosa. So during production John Kani apparently came up with the idea that they must use isiXhosa as the language of Wakanda. But I don't think they had the time, budget nor cared enough to teach the actors the accent and pronunciation. As a result even Xhosa people had to read the English subtitles to truly understand what was being said. It became even worse in the movies that came after Civil War and the first Black Panther movie. This became a big joke on social media. So in this ad the "Wakandan" and the guy they are approaching are both speaking isiXhosa but the accents are so extremely different that the Xhosa guy cannot even understand him. Hence the line, "I thought they speak Ex-hoza here" Also, yeah! The sandwich is the Big John. But clearly the queen wanted it so badly but probably assumed that her people know what it is.

I'm South African and lived in Ghana for a while. I met a British family and one day we went to lunch in a small fishing village. We ordered off the menu where it shows a delicious hamburger. We ordered hamburgers for all of us. It came out of the kitchen with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and a juicy beef patty 😋, but.... They didn't have buns in this small fishing village so it had a 2 inch slice of bread at the bottom and also on top. It's more than 10 years ago and we still laugh when we reminisce about that day and that lady. In Africa, we adapt or die.
