NINJA’S of the sky......Barred owls.

This video was a blast to make! I have been studying these Barred owls on my property for the last couple of years and finally got them used to me being around. I use the Audubon app to mimic the calls they make and play it through a bluetooth speaker to call them in. Works like a champ! They are so curious and lately it seems that they have been toying with me. I few times they have almost blown my hat off on flybys. And if you listen carefully I managed to get a sound from one of them because they were so close. SO AWESOME!

Thanks for checking it out! I know its not my usual type of videos but I just couldnt help but try and capture these guys on film. I learned a lot about trying to video them and take pictures so I should get better in the future. LOL!

This guy is hanging around the nest box looking like hes trying to get the female to join him there but no luck yet. I can walk right up to him now but the female is still pretty shy.

Crazy! I have two white barn owls now in the back yard and they get a few doves every once in awhile!
