You’re right, and when he got back, his locker wasn’t cleaned out as promised. He made it all the way to the practice field where he decided to “stand up for himself“. His way of doing that was to bring up the coach’s sons.
Basically he accused the coach of showing favoritism while the coach was hearing him out, super dumb move.

The coach told them before they left to make flights so in case they have delays they will make it back on time. He specifically told them that. Some of these kids think that he is playing. He probably didn’t call to say he would be late either. I don’t believe Coach Prime cussed him out either.
This situation didn't arise from just missing a flight, he was late by several days and continued to extend his tardiness by stating flight problems.

What’s off is the fact that he was being “punished“ but he wasn’t kicked off the team until he decided to try to embarrass the coach in front of the players. All he remembers is that the coach embarrassed him in front of the players.
He should have taken that crazy conversation to the coach’s office, but he tried to embarrass the coach by bringing up his sons in front of the whole team. If that was allowed, it would have caused a wave of insubordination in the middle of the season.
So what happens when these potential professional football players enter the NFL, with this same behavior and level of accountability? Are they going to leave their team and go to the media say they are treated unfairly. This is about being held accountable and making decisions that will have an impact on their lives.

This article pretty much confirms what the guy on RawhideMeda4U's show, who grew up with Tarvarish's father, said about the situation. Apparently, he was getting punished for coming back late, and he mouthed off to Prime in front of his teammates... That's why he got cut, not necessarily being late. He should have taken the discipline, and kept it moving. The situation with Roc, is that he would never mouth off to Prime, and he's known for keeping his head down and working.
Travarish was toxic prior to visiting his family in FL. He missed his flight.

Players have been losing positions for unforeseen circumstances since High School. I’ve remember guys falling in the position competition because of summer family vacations. Is it fair? Probably not but when you’re in a position battle and you’re not the coaches pick. You can’t give them any excuses to punish you. I bet the coaches was just trying to press the line on him and I bet he reacted to crazy, especially if he threw up the Sanders boys excuse

There’s something very telling about this.. When he claimed to have “stood up for himself” it sounds like he had some personal things to say that turned the situation ugly. “But Shilo and Shedeur can miss a whole week for a fashion show” He clearly felt a type of way about that and maybe favoritism as a whole and he let intrusive thoughts get the best of him and decided to take a jab at HIS HEAD COACH… Had he just accepted the punishment (which he rightfully deserved) instead of mouthing off and making stupid statements, he would’ve been on the field sooner rather than later or in this case not at all. Yea he let them miss for what they wanted/needed to do but were they back on time? Normally CP says you’ll come back to a clean locker for being irresponsible. At least at first he was still on the team, his roll was just going to be diminished. He should’ve taken accountability and said you’re right, I should’ve booked an earlier flight (in case of delays or whatever) to make sure I was back on the agreed upon time. This was a bunch of excuses, finger pointing, and no accountability. Other programs seen the way you handled yourself from that situation to today and you can only blame yourself that they don’t want to deal with you.

Travarish would smile for the cameras and go on his X account and complain. He wanted all the shine. Prior to him leaving, according to his dad, Tavaris had a fight with his team mate and was complaining about while on the field he was wide open and Shedeur didn't get him the ball. He was in trouble before leaving for FL.
I've noticed that Sheduer plays hero ball instead of just advancing the ball down the field. Tighends at CU have no chance to touch the ball much.

Technically, Colorado is a sorry azz program. 4-8 in 2021. 1-11 in 2022. 4-8 in 2023. Having Prime as a coach don't make them elite, winning does. Until they win, they are a sorry azz program, technically.

Coach Prime has been consistent with not smoking, drinking, or cursing. They also clarified that Shilo and Shadeur missed non mandatory meetings, not practice (their events are pre planned). So, Tar'varish did NOT tell the whole story. I think the was late and the last straw with Dawson is when they heard he was at the Iron Bowl (he played at Aurburn before transferring to Colorado) and not in Boulder.
If we give get the other side of these stories then we need to start reaching out to these young men and getting there take on things if not ones side can paint whatever narrative they want

I believe what Dawson said because like you stated, Coach Prime is human. I do believe he has cursed when upset/casually even though he said he hasn't since 1980'something. It is ok, he is still cool. He just needs to stop saying he doesn't, and just do the best he can. It's obvious he plays favorites. People are late and make mistakes and I think when Dawson, "stood up for himself" and called out the disparity, Coach went off on him. He's my favorite Coach who keeps me laughing about something he says/does, and I always hope the best for him/family and the team. I just also believe he can be something else.
CP does lie - he stated he never drinks and never went to clubs, but one interview he let slip when he played for Atlanta, he'd go clubbing with team mates. So I, for one, beleives he cussed this player and dismissed him because the played dared to stand up to him. CP's character showed itself from the very first meeting with the original team when he insulted the players telling them to enter the portal instead of building up the team. In college they teach, any failure in the organization is a result of a failure of management. I predict CU football will have 6, or 7 wins if Travis is on the field.

The way the story is presented, no it doesn’t seem fair. I’ve been delayed with flight problems, but the way I plan I ways plan to get back at least two days early, because I like to acclimate back to my time zone and rest. I learned when I was younger I would plan trips where I would plan to travel the day before I needed to return and after a couple delayed flights I quickly learned my lesson.

Tar'varish stated that CP cussed him out in front of the other players. It should go without saying, just interview a few players about the incident to determine if what he says is true. If necessary, provide the player(s) with anonymity if necessary.
There has to be more to this story… if it went down the way Dawson described it then the coaching staff is being unreasonable. But again it’s probably more to the story or he had other issues throughout the season and this was the last straw..

The Coach Prime always says to all if you are due back be sure to come back a day or two before. In reality him over stepping his boundaries by throwing up some else’s schedule when the real reason is him not taking accountability for his own actions definitely got him in the tunnel.

Sheduer and Shilo did not miss practice. It was no practice at all! It was a meeting only...and they had permission to go to the modeling show because of the sponsorship requirement for them. I don't see Coach Prime cussing anyone out because if that was the case this kid would have said that long ago. It has something to do on his end whether it be his grades or some other rumored trouble he got in similar to the Bishop kid which got him off the team. Why is it Coach Prime never will put a kid's issue in the public as to why they are off the team but the kid goes ahead and blame him for something. It happened over Valentine's break. He came back late and he got dressed down in front of everyone. His father mentioned something back in Feb about him mouthing off about the double standard and the coaching staff telling him to leave. So there may be 'some' truth to the article .

Prime says he rarely ever curse. Pretty much he hasn't really curse since 87. My question would be. What could he have said to prime to make him actually curse at him? Yell and going off is different from cursing out. Idk. This sounds like a guy that has had multiple infractions, and if you know you're supposed to be back at said date and you missed said date return, that mean you have to go 2x as hard to whipe that stain. Plus, i hope he knows it is easy for them to verify his flight delay story, if thats what he gave them.

It was the 1st meeting and many of last years players weren't there. It was mainly for the new players because they have a lot to clear before they can even workout.
