Rita Ora Best Vocals/Live Vocal Range (Eb3-G5)(C7)

- I've always been somewhat of a Rita Ora fan, but I knew she had more to offer vocally than she showcased in her songs. I didn't do in depth research on her voice, most of this is a night's work, but I've found Eb3-G5 in pure modal voice. She also has a C7. Her voice absolutely blooms on her high notes and I love her tone. I really want to hear more range from her, which would require some exploration of her head voice and falsetto, but I know she is more than capable. Some of her belts actually remind me of Mariah's (minus the cute little "ye" she does after almost every fifth octave sustained belt). Hope you enjoy.

@@Solo-vh9fm I think it's just visually, from certain angles, and with certain make-up styles, you could say that she's kind of similar to Rihanna.
I always thought her singing was average because of a performance I saw some time ago, but damn, her resonance and the control she has on her belts are amazing, at least in this video, very surprised.
I never knew what to think because I saw this video, but even after it I thought she was mediocre, especially since she has some pretty easy songs that she sings in lower keys live, but then I’ve started watching a few performances properly and realised she’s actually really good.

this is also not to say that Rita has only spanned Eb3-G5 live! This is as much as I found in around a night. I don't know her that well at all but I know head voice & falsetto are underutilized, which is why her all her range in this video is modal. Feel free to let me know if you've seen more feats.

I feel like she would get so much more recognition if she had a coach that taught her to use her HV/falsetto more which would improve her belting technique

Totally agree with description...Rita herself probably doesn't realize how talented she is....labels and staff around her do the same...is pretty clear to me. I'm not a tech into this vocals/range things, nor a teacher...high likely, surely, I can't give lessons to anybody and of course I know she's a superstar in UK, she had many #1 in the charts, she made money and so on...BUT...she can be much more recognized and appreciated as artist, c'mon. I'm talking as a person listening any kind of music since 20 years...first ROC Nation tried to build her as next Riri, then she took a route more oriented to pop and dance...but she's much more and can go beyond these basic genres. Her voice has something both soul and soprano, more the melodies go further than ordinary, more she can meet high notes and more her voice shines. I hope she's ready to explore many other paths as artist and I'm pretty confident this going to happen soon...she seems a creature in perennial transformation...

I can definitely tell she can go way deeper than a Eb3 maybe a C3 is her lowest cuz a Eb3 sounds too easy for her

I think the C7 was backwards phonetics (IE she inhaled) but great video. Never thought of her as a vocalist but this was solid across the board. However, I don't like something about her belts past D5 though... Not sure why.
As I was making the video, I actually grew more and more annoyed with the sound of her Eb5s. I like most of her notes above it, but that particular note doesn't retain the same brightness that her upper belts have, and it's eh. Her voice does have this harsh and kind of "sharp" quality to it, it's not to everyone's tastes.

MrSkinnyJeanz3 I think the Video for C7 should have been cut short since there is a flat C#7 in it. If the video is cut at the point where she does two fingers, it would be perfect otherwise the whole audio makes her sound like a dead seagull and I actually really like her as an artist to be honest.
